first test fitting on the fresh cleaned hub. Later i will take a pic of the other hub, that isn´t cleaned yet so you have an before / after imagination.
I am realy happy about the result.

sorry no pics of the the rear parts. Will post them later.
Last part missing is the 19mm master cylinder.

IMHO fuchs are the best 'upgrade' for a 914 -those will look superb.

don´t think vented in the rear is necesary with the incredibloe 80PS 1700 engine

But in the near future i am planning a six conversion

Is it just me or is that an odd keyboard (in the backround of the calipers). It don't look like mine. Apparently in Germany they have a slightly different layout of the characters.

Still have some just new fulda 185/70/15 on my 4 lug steel wheels.

They will go on the fuchs.

standard 911 "m" calipers, fresh rebuild.

the major difference should be changed z and y.

you surely doesn´t have ö ü ä. Don´t know whats on theire place on english keyboards.

But i like that keyboard. It´s a desktoop version with laptop keys.

Do you have to have special approval from vehicle registration to do this conversion in Germany?

How do you plan to do the rear? Which parts are you going to use?

Normaly you have to registrate and proof the conversiion by the German "TÜV".

They sign the conversion into the cars documents.

But whats about this: The Car is now round about 35 Years old, no one nows how the car left the factory Tell all people it is originaly equiped with that nice Fuchs wheels. Is this a plan?

For the rear setup i am using the special 914/6 stub axles(reproduction from Mittelmotor) with 911 hubs, brake disks and the original 914/4 calipers.

Will post pics of the setup later.

here are the stub axles. purchased them from Mittelmotor some time ago.

nice parts, have good fitting to the 911 hubs.

What kind of stub axles those are ?? Some conversion alxles ?? They don´t look original.

How much do you use MittelMotor ?? Do you have other good Porsche parts shops there ??

BTW, I haven´t forgot the AutoCAD file. I just should go through all my old back-up files. I will do that soon. Hope you have still time to wait couple of days.

no problem, don´t hurry. As you can see i am working on several projects

That axles are reproduction stuff from Mittelmotor, they should substitute the original 916/6 axles.

Had some trouble with mittelmotor, so i decided to avoid them where possible.

An other good store is the "914 Teilevertrieb Bempflingen". Mr.Stöckel is the owner.

He also have a nice cataloque but no online store.

I am buying the most (new) parts there. Very fast shipping, and no problems till now.

Yep, sounds like a plan. So even the TUV system has a few loopholes.

From my time in Germany, I remember how the TUV system was much more strict than the typical US state vehicle registration office.

I bought a 5 Lug conversion kit from Otto's about 10 years ago with repro stub axles that look just like those. I wonder where they were sourced. I always thought that maybe Swayaway (off road parts mfg) made them.

Story goes on.
Did some updates on the five lug setup. Had the struts sandblasted and coated with por 15. Went aout realy nice.
The pics show the nice and shiny parts.

Hic koni inserts for the struts.
last day´s i got the rigt rear trailingarm (spare part) from the sandblaster. the one in the car is bend. so i have to change it.
Next week i will mount the bearings and the hubs.
Will keep you informed.

Of course 911 parts. There is no way to mount the oem 5 lug hubs to an four banger strut. But there are some aftermarket solutions i saw on the board.

So on the front setup that spacer gives you the right offset for the 911 Fuchs? Are the rotors stock 911 equipment. It just looks so different.

what spacers??? those are early 911 hubs on 911 struts.....

So the rotor bolts up behind the hub and the wheel lugs onto the hub directly or is the photo just showing the part. The hub looks like a spacer/adapter because there are other holes inside.

And yes its a 911 setup. I will run 6*15 Fuchs on it.

Hi,
now i am mounting all the parts together.

Here is a trailing arm with bearing and the cover plate.

Unfortunately the batteries of the camera went south, so no more pics for now

Installed also the the 5 lug hub.

Will post pics of it later.

Hi there,
the story continues:

id the front axle conversion. No major problems, only the right big nut that hold the balljoint won´t come of. So had to grind it it of again!!

Here are the pics withe that nice fuchs rims. I love them!!

rear axle to go. I have all needed parts, sothis should be done in no time.
If there are no more nuts ore screws that won´t come off.

it´s already done

all four corners equiped with that realy nice fuchs rims. Had no major problems on the conversion.

Had the part sandblasted and painted them with por15.


New bearings, screws, etc.
911 hub
