914World.com _ 914World Garage _ anybody knows "Cabiglio SPA"

Posted by: Gustl Jan 4 2006, 12:57 PM

to be honest, I'm just following a rumor that says that "Cabiglio SPA" once bought at least 2 well known ex-Max Moritz 914-6 GTs
but I'was told that "Cabiglio SPA" also bought the ex-Neureuther/Ehlert/Siegle GT - this car is "lost without trace" ... we're searching for a long time ...

unfortunately we even don't know the VIN confused24.gif

is there anybody who has got any information on the car ?
is there anybody who knows "Cabiglio SPA" - contact info ... ?

any input is highly appreciated

Google it... It appears to be a dealer in LA

Hey Gusti,

That's gotta be Sam Cabiglio out of Los Angeles, California.

If it is, then the GT you're looking for probably went to a well-known American "celebrity" Porsche collector who doesn't like to talk about what he has.

But I know he has a 914-6 GT in the collection.

Yes, its Sam Cabiglio, in Long Beach, Ca.
The last number I have for him is 562-595-7777
I hope this is a help.

Jerry Sienfeld wink.gif

The famous standup comedian . . . highest paid TV show person ever . . . hes got lots of cool stuff, but I've never heard of him having any GT biggrin.gif

Edit: Do you have Sienfeld in Europe?

you didn't miss anything. the guy is not that funny at all. the tv show is rather stupid.
but somehow, he managed to make millions of $$$ and spent most of it on nice cars ...

Gustl, can you handle an 11 MB video if I send it?

Seinfeld's humor is 100% coloquial American, so it doesn't appeal to everyone.

He's a dedicated Porsche enthusiast, who definately appreciates 914's too. He listed the 914 as one of his favorite Porsches in a Excellence article, so that's gotta tell you something!

IIRC he always managed to get an Excellence magazine somewhere in the show.

IIRC, Chris Campbell used to have a view from his office on Seinfelds hangar/garage
He's posted vids of cars being driven out of it in the past
I think he spotted a GT (or at least a flared /6)
