914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Throttle Body

Hello All,

I have a problem with my throttle valve sticking, I took the throttle body completely apart and lubricated the shaft with some lithum grease (which seems to help), but thought that it would be much more accurate if the shaft was in a bronze bushing instead of the aluminum body which now has some play in it.

I did a search and it appears that someone used to do this, but the web page is no longer up. Has anyone else tried to add a bushing to the throttle body?

Thanks,
Dan

Most any local machine shop should be able to do this.

Mike hasn't done these for probably 5-7 years. I believe he sold off the tooling used to do the rebuilds.

If you cannot find anyone local, the guy is highly regarded.
