914World.com _ 914World Garage _ "Drive on" ramps for changing oil

Posted by: Roger D. Jan 8 2006, 01:58 PM

Anybody know where a guy can buy a set of aluminum ramps to drive a 914 on...all 4 wheels above the ground?
I'd like to get some so I can crawl under there and do my own work and cleaning. Im talking about ramps that you completely drive the car up on. Not just those short ones with your front end up in the air.

Thanks, Roger D.

What don't you like about the use of 4 short ones? Just stuff em under the tires and pull forward. And about 1k cheaper....

My car is too low for standard ramps. Long ago a buddy had a monster chunk of wood, we cut it at a diagonal and wallered out a "U" shape at the back of the ramp for the tires with a chainsaw. It was long enough to drive up it.
