914World.com _ 914World Garage _ how to track down a part number?

Posted by: brant Jan 11 2006, 10:06 PM

I bought a gasket set for a 914, used but N.O.S.....

well its not for a 914
It just arrived today and the output shaft seals are way too small, and the end cap gasket is way too small.

I'm going to contact the seller, but he sold it as a 914 tranny gasket set.

I see a part number on the kit as
477 300 912 B

and wondered if there is any way to see what it fits, so that when I contact him I can be more informed and tell him what it is for.

does that number make sense to anyone.
I checked for places that sell kits and they list them as 901.xx or 911.xx

TIA

PP has this cool feature where you can simply type in the part number in the search field...
