Come one, come all.................
February 4th Workshop at my house. If your car needs help getting ready for our May 20th event, or just for spring, plan on bringing it over.
I am clearing out my garage so that we can have 3 cars on jack stands at the same time (if necessary)4 if we get horizontal.........
Food, beer, billiards, and cars...........
it will be a grand ol' time. if the weather is bad, then we will close the garage doors and still be warm............
if we don't finish your job on saturday, feel free to leave it
overnight in the garage, and we will finish on sunday.........
Sounds fun!
Is the Family invited? I won't be bringing the 914 as I'm pulling the trans this weekend, but I may swing by to be social.
Ferg.

bring the fam, fortunately, i mean unfortunately, my family will be in california..........
why are you pulling your trans?
minor rebuild I hope, 2nd gear crunch is getting worse. plus I just ordered a rennshift, so I want everything all nice and smooth for this summer.

ya, you must be pretty hard on your tranny backing it in and out of the garage to wash it

come on Ferg
get the work gloves out on the 4th and prove them wrong.
Josh....
you better have that motor installed by then!!!!
(threatening smileey)

By February 4th?!?!
Yeah, not likely... You see, there's this little person in the house that seems to just soak up all of my free time. It's quite amazing actually...
I plan to have the car in shape for the La Junta event, if not sooner. But if I were a bettin' man, I'd put money down, with very good odds, on my not having the engine installed by the 4th...

Got a trailer josh?
Can I come play?
As of right now I actually have a free weekend!

and I won't send big stick, threatening smiley to you since you intend to make it to Lajunta
Yeah!
Scott,
do you know about lajunta?
any ways I can twist your arm to attend with martini?
you should... it would be soooo fun!
please come to the work party on the 4th so I can try to influence your decision further!

brant,
think you can get Bob to show up? (aka: your dad)
and grant?
I'll ask him, but I know he has a superbowl party to go to on sunday and that makes it a long drive for one day....
but I'll ask....
and I'll bug grant too.
brant
it's begun..................
1 914 on four jackstands in bay #1
1 914 delivered by a AAA tow truck and pushed into bay #2
potatoes are cooked and ready to be warmed for breakfast
hope someone can bring a camera. mine went to cali with the fam
im thinking all the 914's will be able to fit in the driveway.
forecast is looking good too
Damn. I'm really going to be missing out on this one...
I mean, I could be chopping parts off of all sorts of cars. (Just ask Kevin) And all those 914's being worked on at the same time.
I'll be there. somebody bring a gear oil pump!
Ben,
I've got an extra oil pump or two...
But I won't be at the wrench-fest tomorrow...
Let me know if you want one though...
-Josh2
I typically just borrow one because it's not a job I do often.
Nobody seems to have one, so it may have to wait. We'll have to see what happens.
Thanks for the offer Josh! Wish you were coming down tomorrow.
Well
How did it go today?
I've notice Gint picked up another 914!

Mike and I don't differentiate what's "his" and "mine"... it's all OURS!!! (exception: his garage) However, yesterday afternoon when a drunk woman at the Irish pub at Copper Mtn ski area asked me, "What does 9-1-4 stand for?" (I was wearing one of Mike's 914 hats - correction, OUR hats), after I beeotch slapped her I said, "It stands for I got a new 914 today and you didn't!!! |

A repeat today?
Gotta make some headway on MY green machine.
Hey Sharon, call the airline and see if you can trade the two one way tickets for a R/T. That way you could fly down and help me by driving one of the cars down to Joe's, about 70 miles. Green one isn't here, so do you prefer red or yellow?

New guy to our local list, Jim. Missing 1/4" off of a valve adjustment screw. The one casualty in 7 yesterday. He said yesterday the car was for sale for $5k. That was before the valve adjuster screw reared it's ugly head. Might be cheaper now.

That's all I have. I didn't realize that I was the only guy with a camera. And I was kinda preoccupied with buying a new 914. Missing are pics of 914s belonging to Steve W. and Brew from the springs. He brought his brother Whalen along with him. I'm trying to sell him the "Budget 914".
