Some of us here in the Bay Area know Otmar and have seen his car...He can literally smoke the rear tires like a top fuel dragster.

I thought there might be others interested in his work. He knows alot about 914s and we ahve alot to learn form him.

I have been considering an electrical conversion for a long time but it is so expensive.

the dude with the 914EV lives about 6 blocks away from me. i pass his car charging up (he has a charger in front of his house!) about twice a week. stopped by and chatted with him once. i think i remember him telling me he did a 1/4 mile in less than the 14.399 posted on his site. pretty f-ing fast, and a total sleeper.

with gas prices the way they are....

Ask Otmar who helped him figure out the 930 box he runs now.. and ask him who supplied the 915 box he runs in his VW stretch bus.

I wish building a 914 electric wasn't so dang expensive. Otherwise, I'd build one in a second as a commuter car.
