I don't think many "car people" are big ball sports fans . In fact I don't know ANY. I'm working on my car Sunday (and Saturday!)

not a big fan of either team, but I'm pulling for Seattle...got to hit the grocery store on Sat.....the SuperBowl is a great "excuse" to eat too much while watching the game....I'm sure I'll eat a few dozen hot wings, at least a medium pizza plus chips and salsa....getting hungry just thinking about it

I have to work at the fire house on Sunday and we plan on grazing on Football food all day!
Of course, I have to sneak my work out in before that all starts up so I can make room!

My wife asked what time the game started on Sunday. "9:00 am" was my response. I'll be partaking in all that is the Superbowl all day Sunday, and enjoying every minute of it! Especially if the STEELERS win!

I got a call the other day from a buddy inviting me to a Stupor Bowl party.. he detected some hesitation in my voice when I said "Sure......."

I thought the super bowl was LAST week.

There will be beer at the party - so I'm there. I haven't actually ever watched an entire football game in my life - at least not since Jim Rice (you know, the bocce pro) got the touchdown against the Bruins in the Winston Cup at the Fall Olympics at Wimbeldon.

I've found there to be two types of people: those who play sports.. and those who watch sports.. Er, I guess that makes three - because I don't play or watch 'em.

I'm for the Sea Turkeys. It took em 30 years to get there. No comments cause we are still in a state of shock. My wife wants me to go to a party at the church. What has life come to? Watching football at church.

You can call it the "Big Game" this year. But next year I will have registered that so you can pay me.

I'm for the Steelers because I don't like Holmgren...what a putz...and I'd like to see the "Bus" go out with a win. That being said who gives a shit really....I just like to watch the games I used to play get played by better players than I was...but they're sooooo big and fast now....who knew.... Oh yeah, and whichever team signs Owens....I piss upon from a great height....it'll just go to show that a fool never learns...the guy is an assbag...talented tho...

strange. all over news are the stories about unauthorised nfl/superbowl merchandise. no hologram sticker and it's bootleg. i go the local gas/cig/pizza/burritos/drug paraphanalia/and all kinds of crap corner store, and the place is loaded with jerseys, hats, etc. no hologram. it used to be OCC, sandra bullock's boyfriend's stuff(Jesse James), and non-new era mlbb hats.

Hi All.

This Detroit Metro area is crawling with sports fans. It's a big farce here in Detroit. This is a trashed city that cleaned up this weekend & will be back to it's old self next week. It's like perfume on a pig, it's still a pig. I will not spend a nickle in that place. They have street people homeless shelter parties & feeding the street scum to keep them off the streets. Next week it's back to normal. Detroit is the pits.

Everyone here in the burbs are Steeler fans.

I don't hate them at all - I just don't like watching someone else play - it's boring. I can't play sports anymore due to 4 ACL reconstructions. Same thing with racing I would much rather do it myself than watch other much more talented people do it. Gotta get of the PC and out into the garage and do something useful.

There haven't been any super teams for a long time. It's not like the '80s, when the Niners or the Packers were the teams to beat. There are no dynasties any more, and the winning teams are kinda boring to watch, basically just one play better than the rest of a mediocre league.

The Seahawks and the Steelers aren't feeling much pressure. Both teams have had plenty of close wins, and even their most ardent fans must be surprised at where they are. So this will probably be a close game, and hopefully not too boring with the one-dimensional offenses (rushing).

But of course the Seahawks will win.
