any idea on size?
do they measure true?

measure the rod part (ot the square end)

they only made 19mm and 22mm welt bars....

Posted by: TROJANMAN Feb 6 2006, 11:10 PM

this one looks pretty beefy
22?
best place to order my missing parts?

Posted by: Gint Feb 6 2006, 11:15 PM

From the measurement in the lousy pic, 3/4" would be 19mm.

QUOTE

That's probably why it's un-hooked wink.gif

I'd downsize.

Have Gint wrap an open end wrench around it next time he's down there and you'll be able to tell the size. biggrin.gif

I've found that by using a flashlight to "pre-light" my subject will help eliminate most fuzzy pics. Just sharin'. biggrin.gif

I agree that it looks like a Weltmeister.

I agree that it looks like a Weltmeister.

My tiny camera is hard to hold steady to get decent close ups. It has to be braced against something.

Posted by: brant Feb 7 2006, 09:27 AM

It looked Welty to me...
but I wanted to confirm that before Greg spends the money on parts.

anyone have access to their weltmeister that could confirm the measurement.

(I actually think the 22 and 19 take the same size lever arm, but was fearful of sending greg off to buy parts without confirming it.)

NEXT.
anyone have a picture handy of a a-arm U tab installed so we can get greg to check out his A-arms and decide if he needs to get tabs or already has them.

Posted by: majkos Feb 7 2006, 09:43 AM

I've weltys on the green mach.
But they're 23's

Didn't see anything simular.
I've another funky set,(You have to see,to understand)

I like them,because it's a 19mm. The ends (square)is 17mm dry.gif

Ask around for frt sway attach.anything with a 3/4 /19mm ends
I'm sure it'll work,BUT gotta have adjustable links!

Posted by: McMark Feb 7 2006, 12:59 PM

PM Brando, he's got a weltmeister on his car. Maybe he can take pics to compare.

Looks like the same setup as what I just bought, and by your tape measure it looks like a 19mm. Here's a picture of the adjustable drop links that came with it (sorry, no picture of the bar in the photo). I still have to buy the U tabs and inner mounting brackets.

Can anyone give us a measurement from the center of the square hole to the drop link on the lever arm?

Also I remember reading something Brad posted, probably several years ago now, about the angle of the lever arm. does it work best horizontal? (lever when the car is loaded at rest?)

Anyone know?

yes, has most mechanical advantage when the arms are parallel to the pavement....

THUS adjustable droplinks are needed (also to avoid preload) and/or a non severely lowered ride height....

with my car LOW... and the tarett bar's droplinks at smallest size, my arms are pointing slightly up....
