does anyone know if there is a web site to see if a plate is avaiable in a certin state?

Many states do, but Illinois does not have an on-line search option. Contact the Secretary of State, Non-Standard Plates Section, 501 S. Second St., Room 541, Springfield, IL 62756. (217) 785-1697
