Help! I can't find a source for the o-ring shown on the right side of the photo
(just to the left of the drive gear) for the speedometer drive out of my 901 tranny. I really don't want to buy an entire tranny gasket set just for this o-ring.
Measured the groove to be: 3.13mm wide X 25.6mm diameter.
so
I tried a 3 X 25.....TOO BIG....won't fit into bore.
then I tried 2.5 X 22.....TOO SMALL....doesn't make a good tight seal??
It must be a 2.5 X 24 ... but I can't source one?????

PN 999 701 084 50
I searched Pelican for the number and they say NLA
The dealer sells them for a buck...
Nope, guess I should try Stoddard. I'll call them in the morning.
Thanks for the number .
lowes
I used a buna-n seal from my plumbing box...fit like a knife in the back....
Can you wait till tomorrow? Ill go out and look in the box-o-stuff thats in my trailer.. I know i have bit and pieces of a bunch of tranny gasket kits in a box out there
I got one that works great in the plumbing department at The Home Depot.
Alright, first I'll try Lowe's 'cause it's on the way to work.
If I can't find one there I'll try Home Depot.
