914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Fuch wheel refinishing

Posted by: Huff Feb 22 2006, 01:43 PM

I have a set of Fuch wheels that have no road rash but have lost their luster and shine, also some very minor pitting. Anybody out there with a thread on how to polish these things or someone who does this reasonably in the Savannah, Charleston, Jacksonville (dare I say Atlanta) area?

Got these done at Best Metal Polishing
4418 Lilburn Industrial West
Lilburn, GA 30047

About a year ago the price was $40 a wheel and he polished the whole wheel. I did the paint work on the centers. Sure hated to scuff up all of polishing in the centers

lots of threads on this one. search for "fuchs and refinish". I usually have a hard time with the search function returning a lot of trash, but I got several hits that looked on topic here. (any one notice that this http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=5051&hl=fuchs,and,refinish pops up NO MATTER WHAT YOU SEARCH FOR?
let us see the progress if you do it yourself!

Try Alex Magro at MagroWheels.com. He's in Florida.
He sells and refinishes all types of wheels. Finally got mine on the car.
He also sells the polished bolts. Dont buy the center caps though. They dont fit. Go through Pelican.
