just for you jeff. i was wrong on the vinyl on the driver's side. easy insert swap out for someone with a good seat. no rips or tears noticed with a brief glance. pass side seat is in nice shape. i think they would brighten up with a good cleaning. these aren't my seats. bug craig with your "can i buy those seats?" questions guys.

has anyone ever seen a tan interior with any kind of plaid seats (in a 914)?
I'm really digging them, but can't picture a pattern or color combo that would fly in tan.
oohh, sweet!
Kewl, the floor boards match the seats... Sorry had to..
it looks like a short(er) person drove this car. I can't see why else there would be so much wear on the top of the side bolster except for the seatbelt rubbing, due to a short(er) body in the seat.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? this was for jeff's eyes only, stop looking!!! NOW!!! don't make me delete this thread.
story is, a lady used it as a daily driver. the car is in pretty decent shape over all, no repaint, correct code (L20C).

Thanks Kev! I will add this to my Paint and Fabrics webpage with the other Tartans and Plaids I have photos of. I was hoping the blue car had blue plaid...but I guess it is not to be.
Here is the only non-black trim plaid I have. It is supposedly an original fabric from a very original car:

Kevin, do you think the cloth is original? The vinyl is more worn than the cloth. I think Aaron Gilihan in Vancouver is looking for that plaid.
bob . bug craig, seriously. it's not my car.

What, Craig bought it and you are the forwarding agent?

they would be incorrect for a 72 car... |
your guess is as good as mine jim. given the nepal paint and the orange plaid, being original wouldn't surprise one bit. glad it's something new for your collection jeff.

no jim. just another muti-tasking demension, in my 0$ compensation employment agreement.
mike, the pass side bolsters are very clean. the dr side looks to have suffered the greatest wear. sort like the driver slid across the bolster instead of sitting down. prob someone rather short, the car was owned by a woman.

Thanks for the pic jeff.
Is that the car that was for sale with the Olymipic Blue one on Craigs?
those look a bit different than the ones i have in my car. my seats are a brigher orange, but the fabric is in really poor condition. it wasn't great quality fabric to begin with. so... my guess would be that those seats have been recovered, especially if the vinyl is in worse condition than the fabric.
here's what mine look like:
