I believe they are being auctioned off and the money is going to a number of charities. I think Vasek Polak’s family is the owners.

Nope. I can tell you right now Britt, if I owned one of those engines I'd be having sex EVERY night. Without a girl, or any other living creature. Just me and 8 velocity stacks. I understand the 8 cly is a special hill climber motor, and could be considered even more rare than the 917 plants.

I'm pretty sure that the factory did a special one-off 914 with the flat 8 for a Porsche family member. Anybody have the pic and / or article?
