I know there have been a few snow related threads lately...but I had to just chime in here about the dumping we got in the Mpls/St.Paul & Western Wisconsin area. In my hometown of Roberts, WI (20 minutes east of St. Paul, MN) we got 15 1/2" of the bloody rotten stuff! I know...I know I shouldn't complain...I chose to live in "Antarctica".

We only got about 4" but it froze down. Temps dropped. SUX
We're on our way of getting it. Had horrible thunderstorms last night, it was comfortable today (mid 60's) and now snow tonight - 1 to 3 inches. Applying the snow BS factor (of 6) that gets us to about 1/6 - 1/2" of snow.
Sounds 'bout right for Mid-March.
Tom
I hear you, I was hoping to get the car out on the road for a quick shakedown when I'm alligning it...guess that's not going to happen
My dad lives up in the White Mountains here in AZ(right by the "9 Magazine" guy....I forget his name here. Anyways, 31" at his house on Saturday and Sunday morning. It piled up high enough on his roof to block the vent for the furnace and shut his heat down. Talk about adding insult to injury!
This is his first winter up there after moving from Phoenix. Welcome to retirement, dad!
here in sunny So california we had snow in malibu it snowed at 1500 ft in the desert 12 " at 3000 ft so it is nasty everywhere.
Bernie
14" in the Sierra foothills on Saturday night.
I feel cheated! I live in So Cal and did not get any snow at all. The closest we got was a little Hail the other day and today it was bright and sunny outside, I even wore a short sleeved shirt all day.
You CA guys have it made in the shade...(& sun). Oh how I wished I could afford to live comfortably there! It's sports car Mecca! WOW...31" in AZ. There's something "NOT RIGHT" about that! Here's a shot from my fricken front door.

Almost 70 here today, probly 20 and 5ft snow tomarrow.
Your gettin dumped on again Bill! Big snow is a comin!
Thanks for the reminder Rick! I see it coming down as we speak!
I just want to see if I can apply me superior computer skills enough to put a picture in right side up? Hey Rick, why doesn't ever snow up in your neck of the woods? Isn't Duluth alot closer to the North pole than where I'm at? I just about slipped a disc in my back this morning shoveling 3 tons of snow (literally!) off my front walkway. I just took this picture...I'm starting to see the bloody rotten stuff pile up again. THAT'S IT! I'M SELLING EVERYTHING BUT MY 914 AND I'M MOVING TO CA TONIGHT!
Disgruntled in WI

We've been lucky the last two storms went south! If this keeps up, the only way you'll ever test drive that beast is if you put tracks and ski's on it!
Hey Rick,
Does any one make such a kit for 914's? I'd buy one! Here's what it looked like when I woke up this morning.

Those pics remind me of why we moved to Vegas. Short sleeves, sunny, going to the Southcoast Casino today, getting shitfaced and watch March Madness in the sportsbook.

Snowing in Denver. The mountains would be untouched. Bad luck for all! That's just how things work in colorado. Mother nature gets all PMSy whenever it changes seasons. |
"Good God did it snow!"

Officially we received 48" here in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. So much snow that the 944 was hidden for days after the storm. (I keep the 914's nice in warm inside the garage). However, we had to exit the house via the garage as the snow was over 10 feet high blocking the front door!
Isn't there a Porsche show in SoCal this weekend?

It is 76 degrees here in Dallas. Bright and sunny too.
I drove the Wife's 914 to work today after working on it last night . I think I will take the top off for the drive home.
Gotta love Texas weather. Almost as good as SoCal, but the ground doesn't shake and the property prices are WAY cheaper!
