I was out for a stroll this morning and while walking past a used car dealer I spotted a 914 in the back of the lot. It was backed up to a wood fence and all I could make out was the "2.0" in gold lettering. I don't think the car is part of their "for sale inventory" as it was sitting in the back of the lot dirty and very dusty......kind of like one of those barn yard finds. Maybe it was taken in on trade?
I did not inquire about the car and I don't know what the asking price is (or if it is even for sale).
If anyone is interested it is located at NE 50th and Roosevelt Way NE. The used car dealer is just to the North of the Public Library. One other landmark for that intersection is "Tubs Seattle."
Maybe someone can get a good price on it? If anyone is interested I can get the name and phone # of the used car lot.
That location used to sell quite a few old Porsches, back in the day when PCA banquets were held there. But I think that dealership moved away, and the business that's there now doesn't sell old Porsches. Maybe that 914 has been sitting there all this time?
Uff da!
Someone should get up there and rescue that car.

I have asked a couple of times about the 914 your talking about. It's a wierd one becuase it has a slope nose on it. Very faded red paint. Probably lots of hell hole rust by now? He won't sell it according to the sales guys. Looks like a decent car, but he want's to hold onto it for some reason.
I walk by it almost daily. Sad to see it just sitting outside.
If this is the lot on the west side of the street with the black iron fencing, I sold my '74 LE there in 1982. Sure wish I had that one back.
Marc
Hes had the red one for 20 years ,I sold em a 75 1.8 then , more recently like Dan ,another buddy talked to the guy and he likes his stuff and doesnt want to sell or talk about em.
Used to be a great place to window shop.

Yup, piles of rust go for big bucks these days.
I also drive by a yellow, well mostly green now due to moss 914 that is by my house. I have stopped in a couple of times asking everyone but the owner about the car. I guess he is never around. Another 914 becoming a planter.
On one of the back roads where I grew up, there (still) is a white 1.7 sitting in the high grass. Its been there since I learned to drive. Sad....
