I think we had a thread on this car already but I can't seem to find it. If I recall, price was $15K. It is now getting closer to reality in my view. Could be a good start for someone if it is not too rusty.

STILL worth 9K.....if that....
gonna be a 80 911SC needs rear fender work 5k on seattle craigslist soon.
I would buy your car jim its ready to go
if it could be had for say 10, and someone has another 8 to put into it, it could be worth the trouble... I'm guessing 5k for body work(probably too low) and 3 for an engine rebuild... you'd have a decent original 6 that may go for more than the 18k in it at that point...
but that's not a 15 or even 12k car... we've seen decent -6 conversions go for that...

My six is going to be a good value for someone.
Since most of us realize we will not likely get our money back on a restore, it seems to me that the blue car would be a decent investment at $20K total, which is doable by a do-most-of-it-yourselfer. Key is, how much structural rust. That changes the equation.
"Decent six conversions" will never be original sixes. Two different animals and always will be.

Wayne, if there is structural rust as you say, that changes things, probably worth $8K. Seller says no. Have you seen the car?

Wayne,
IMHO, I don't think the hellhole looks as bad as you say it is, it looks very similar to what I had to work with and mine was repairable, this is a picture of mine with everything removed.
If I were in the market for an original six, I'd consider it.

Yeah he dropped it again i've been kinda watching it. To Me I would pay $7k but that's me. That car needs a full restore, the motor needs a rebuild, bumpers, body, wheels tires, supension and how many other big ticket item 6 parts it's hard to say. How are the oil lines for example. Anyway just my opinion but for $7k that would be an awesome restoration project.
