Here is an event we can all get in on. Lets pick a time and all try to be on line at once on 9-14.
(Hope the server can handle it)

How about 12:00 noon Pacific time. (Give you guys time to wake up) Or whatever other time we decide on.

No way, I just got my car going good, did some flares on the back, method.. dont look pretty, but I have a good half inch of clearance.. do it to the fronts tomorrow.. I drove my car at 9:14 in the night last year, and by golly I will this year!

just finished the doors (man they look good, but what a PITA).
the top doesn't fit anymore, car shrank while welding in the cage, but i will get to that tomorrow.

it's fucking hot here, 100+ all day,

9/14 6:45AM. Just getting cleaned up for a 9/14 drive. Gonna go pick up Kevin (rhodyguy), meeting all the local guys in Seattle for a drive up in the foothills then lunch at a brewery. Man I hope there's a bunch of 914's. I'll post some rolling shots later. Great fun.

I have no pics, just take acox' car, and put early chrome bumpers, and sail vinyl on there.

For my other car, imagine the pile that used to be Jenny's car, posted by Britain.. (you know.. it's apart)

I've spent the last few days on the front bumper and spoiler. I radiused the spoiler so it follows the line of the tire. Just like the GT3 boys are doing. You can see it better here.

I made my own cowl. I didn't see the need to spend $500 on a piece of lexan for a windscreen. Mine is just a hump over the instraments. You can see in my avatar.

I bead blasted all the suspension parts today to bring to the powdercoater tomorrow (A-arms, trailng arms, fuel tank (not blasted), etc.

I made mine.. If you have a welder (to weld the nut on the bottom) then you can make it..
Or you could buy a 15 dollar kit from Weltmeister.. (if they still sell it, I found this out the day after I put my swaybar in)

Went to Ventura this afternoon saw Brad and Mike. I was very dissapointed with the swap meet and display. only saw 7 914s there and 2 were v/8 conversions one origional 6 was for sale in the display area. I thought last year was better but I had a good time.

No warping. Just the angle it was taken and the fact that it was on end. Everything is nice and straight and thoroughly checked over.

I don't think Isabel is coming here (knock on wood). I think Miles has a better shot at meeting her than I do!

Hey, this is my thread.

Hello everyone!

I took yesterday off and bolted up my RAT to the tranny, finished up the engine tin, installed the push rods, and best of all bolted the engine into the car.

Maybe I can get it running this weekend!!!

And I also cut up the rust bucket a little more

Happy 9-14 day. Both my 914-6 and RS America are both running just great, knock on wood. I'd like to start another project build, but don't have the garage space, I'm renting one now as it is.

Currently packing and tying up loose ends for my trip to Germany with Autobahn Adventures next week to drive the Autobahn in a new 997. Maybe I'll get her up past 265kph, speed I did last time I went. YeeeHaaa. My last trip for awhile, pretty well busted the bank account on this one. lol.

They are 7s and 8s. The tires are 205/50/16 on the front and 225/50/16 on the rear. I went conservative on the tires, I was worried about them rubbing. When they wear out, I am going ot 225/50s on the front and 245/45s on the rear.


BTW.. the rear has 1/4 spacers to move the tires out to the fenders.

What the hell! I haven't touched the new beater 914 since the day I bought it. I know the wipers don't work. And there is a threat of slight showers this afternoon for after work. I'm going to clean and RainX the WS and drive it back to work over lunch.

I received the last of the parts I need to finish putting together my Subaru 2.5 motor today. Hopefully this evening I'll work on replacing the timing belt, water pump, etc.

Had a good 9-14, picked up 5 nearly flawless Pedrinis, got to see the nicest 914 I have seen yet at the shop. Dark green 914-6 with a nice wood face on dash, cool console, obviously been garaged for a great portion of its life

Didn't realize what today was... just checking in to the 10th page of this thread... no time to read the others... I been wrenchin' I'll enjoy them later.

Still 30 minutes left of "9/14".
New engine installed and now struggling with "tuning"...

Just finished jetting from 130 mains/55 idles to 135's & 60's. Re-clocked the distributer and bumped advance from 130 to 32... tomorrow may try 34. Getting closer to the heartbeat of this animal.

This is a nice little engine!
