Dan, that is a great job.
Back to the original questions, I haven't a clue, but I'd guess it is a European location. A great photo also. Do you have it in higher resolution perchance?

You collect the Porsches and plan the route. 914's preferred, but Boxsters if necessary. I'll organize the rest biggrin.gif

In the picture, a few sixes, one of them a GT. We should be able to figure out which specific one the later is, it has the split colour bumper (black and yellow) and those bumpers were used to diferentiate the cars.

And there's a big bold No 1 on the GT

and what wheels are on the GT?

they dont look lik enormal BBS's....

Gustl,

According to the usual sources:

"Lother Stöckl had it on the front of his 914 parts catalogue way back in the late 1980s. That's the only place that I have seen this.

As far as I know Lother still does not have a website - I used to FAX him.

The last contact details I have (not sure if they are correct) are:

Lothar Stöckl
914 Ersatzteile Versand GmbH
Postfach 914
7445 Bempflingen
Germany

The street address was:
Talstrasse 34,
72658 Bempflingen"

Hope that helps,
Richard

It is a post card that sits on my piano. How the hell did you get it? chairfall.gif

We all were given post card sized copies of that at the MWC (I think) recently. It might give the details on the back, but I've never looked. confused24.gif I can check when I get home.

I looked closley, I think they may be Porsche fanwheels. Like the kind that the new RS Spyder has on. But Al says that He first saw them in '77 or about then, so it doesn't help place the car.

I'm pretty sure that this is a replica

a very identically looking car is shown in the DGVWPB on page 126
it has the same rims, NO targa vinyl (the original GT has it) and NO additional front lights (the original GT has them)
