I broke the retainer stud for the #2 fuel injecter.
Has anyone drilled the third hole on 1.8 intakes and used them?
I have tried to extract the broken stud, but have failed and will need to re-thread. I have the 1.8 intakes stairing at me saying put me in. Their is about 1/3" difference in the injector placement. I don't think it should matter.
Any thoughts --- Let't'm roll
Just get a 2.0L Plenum & runners..........
Have the setup in Riverside if ya want.
leo, you broke the stud on the head or the clamp stud for the injector?
k

First I am going to look into retapping a a quick fix.
Just drill it out, helicoil it and restud...in theory, there is no pressure at that point...only vacuum.
you can have have one of mine for 1/2 a bazillion $. shipping included! what's a helicoil kit run these days?
k
Drill out, retap and heli-coil.
while driving to bton, i got to wondering how you managed to break that stud anyways?
k
Got a leak.
Got new seals.
Replaced new seals.
Nut was frozen to stud.
Tried to torQ nut.
Broke stud.
Injecter still leaking.
tsk, tsk. Aero Kroil. every fastener, every time.

The 1.8 pipes are longer than the 2.0 ones. You'll have to cut them off a bit to get a good fit.
