So I decided to make a wall clock.
a long ways to go still, but will look good in my future garage:

still need to buy a clock mechanism from the hobby shop.
and use a center cap for it...

plus a ton of grinding and a shot of fresh paint are needed:

Mind if I ask why you didn't just cut the wheel in half, keeping the front lip
of the rim surrounding the piece you cut out?

don't mind the question at all.
basically didn't due that due to rim condition.
car must have slid into a curb because the outer lip was trashed in more than one place.
heavily bent.....

so decided to use the center only, which still looked decent.

guess I'm too anal Aaron.
I would have wanted to straighten the lip, sand out the scratches and repolished..
so its easier to fight the urge by just cutting it off and throwing some fresh paint at it

Where are you guys getting the guts for the clock? I have a set of 933 Turbo Rotors that I wanted to turn into clocks.

brittain,

go to local craft store, you need the one with the LONGEST "shank" to stick out of a wheel. about 10 bucks.

Excellent Brant. smilie_pokal.gif
Are you gonna make more of these as awards for the RRC?
