anyone have any experience with the K&N kit for the 2.0 motors? do they help at all? hurt at all? i'm not sure if i want to go aftermarket with the air intake, but it is an option so i thought i'd see what people think of it.

Buy a stock K+N air cleaner for your stock 2.0 housing.. it will help a little. You'll notice a difference.. but you will get used to the difference quickly.

It is however commonly accepted that the K&N filters, while flowing well, don't filter nearly as well as a paper element filter.

But don't listen to me. I'm running a foam motorcycle filter. laugh.gif

I purchased one for my 75 2.0 a year ago. The problem with it is, the edge is too high and it wont seat properly in the cleaner. So back to paper for me.

That was one of the issues that kept me using stock Filter's wink.gif

K&N Universal Air Filter for VW Racing Engine will work. wink.gif
Check the throat size. A little noisy but engine growl feels better. cool.gif
