The front bumper top from my '74 1.8L let go for the last time; so I bought a replacement.

The part numbers don't match:

old - 914 503 027 10

new - 914 503 023 10

The newer one appears to be thicker and more rigid; what is the story on these parts?

Weren't all the bumper tops the same until '75?

anyone??
