914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Should I pick-up a set of new fuel injectors?

Posted by: computers4kids May 2 2006, 08:08 AM

I have the chance to pickup a set of new fuel injectors for a 1.8. My engine runs great, but I just wanted your opinion is it good insurance to pickup a set of these if the price is right? How much is a set of these worth--I mean how much is the going rate for these?

I don't just want to spend $ needlessly, but just want to be smart. Even though I have a 2.0 in my garage, I don't plan on swapping motors anytime soon.

Thanks all,

I would. Great insurance against having one clog and havign a cylinder go lean and drop a valve.

I have no clue what happened to my engine, but i didn't plan on dropping it from a siezed engine.

Big question is how much...

you can get set of used injectors and have them cleaned/flow checked for $12 each. They still should not be considered new though. I used cruzin performance.

Depends on your budget.

At least send the old ones and have them flow checked.
