Is this plug telling me that I'm running too lean?
Looks normal to me. I think it's saying "Put me back in the car".
Too funny.. i just posted the same question.
Too lean
I don't know if it is too lean, but it sure as hell isn't rich. I think it should be more brown than white.
I'll be fixing it thanks to echocanyons who helped me out with a MAF (with a spare to boot!) Thanks again EC. At least I'm not running rich anymore.
First thing I said when I saw that was 'oh shit, thats one lean plug'
That plug is saying "get me the hell out of that thing!"

It's been detonating too...
Look at the deposits on the porcelin of the plug..
Fatten it up or pick up the pieces...
exactly, should be the color of a coffee drinker's teeth.
kinda like off white or tan or maybe even a light brown...
time to get your crayons out for color matching.
I personally like my spark plug color to be the color "Maccaroni and Cheese"

As long as I am making huge power and the A/F meter says I'm good. I haven't pulled a plug for awhile. Now that we are getting into the HOT season I might check plugs against meter.
BTDT, even did BriteSmile and I thought "the pain isnt *THAT* bad, i'll just sit through it some more, more time equals brighter..."
dull pain turned into sharp pains, which translated into severe sensitivity (to everything..literally) for a couple of days...
I forgot what I took but I woke up 14 hours later....it was strong, because it was a huge pill. Green.

I don't do that SmileBrite stuff. You are not alone with the pain and sesitivity.
