where can you get the warning light that replaces the factory speedo?
thanks
steve
Huh? You want to replace the speedo with one big light?
Steve,
try the racing catalogues.
also, be aware that without a "hood" or shade you loose some visibility.
I removed my un-hooded light in my old car because half the time I couldn't see it due to sun glare.
new car had this
1) for alternator belt
2) for oil pressure
no way you can miss seeing these:

I have the red one in my street/track car for oil pressure (after i lost an engine due to a blown oil line to a front oil cooler). On the street, i have to leave the cover on - it is way bright without the cover.
I like to blue one for the alternator - mine has slipped off before, and there is no way to see the samll light out on the track.
At any rate, the red one works great, just mount it on the steering column.
Seemed like a large light to me, but what do I know, I don't race.
More of a bump since it was off the front at the time.
There is an easy solution for the CSOB NARP owner. You don't have a working parking brake on your race car, right? Simply switch the wires around so the big red parking brake light becomes the Oil Warning light. Voila.
thats a smart idea. The collective lot of you are brilliant. steve
I used nice large LED lights purchased from AW Direct, a truck & towing supply co.
The amber light is a cooling system warning light since my cooling system is belt driven.
