I came up with this one a few years ago when we did this on rennlist (in the winter).

I used to write Haikus on the way to work in the morning:


Rain drops slow the day
Cars weave and stop dodging drops.
Meticulous drive

Left lane left blinker
miles of cell phone gab. Lookout!
Drifting lane to lane.

Old car collection
commutes to work early days.
Easy drive. Easy.

Do the brake lights work?
Two women in the crosswalk
I brake, do cars know?

Chocolate poodle
cruises in a green Jaguar
ears flying at speed.

smell rain, really earth
rising up to meet commuters
wet spots on your car

***************************

Canary truck threads
through traffic sliding by quiet
past blue-grey drivers

***************************

Listen, crow caws once
through the sunroof opening.
"Look here, I can fly."

Spring road construction, how better to spend the day, paving the coast road
