This is for those of you that know Dave Cawdrey (Korijo) or have been trying to get in touch with him. I just got an email from his wife Kori, she asked me to pass on to the club that he has been in the ICU for 3 weeks with a life threatening case of pneumonia. He appears to be getting better now but it has been a bumpy road, I guess he is not in the clear just yet though. If you want to send a message to him here is the email address I got from his wife: kjcawdrey@msn.com
Thanks very much for letting us know. I've never met the 3-d individual, but know him through the club, as I'm sure others here have. I'm glad to hear he is on the mend! Maybe he can log in and say "Hi" soon.
thanks for keeping us posted!
I sure hope Dave gets better soon...
Any idea what hospital he is staying or room number?? Maybe we can send some flowers. Dave is a good guy and I am sorry to hear that he is sick.
This is terrible news. I'm up for sending flowers or a basket of something.
Get Well Soon Dave!
Get the PAYPAL flower basket out and lets throw some dough in their.
Craig C. Laughlin CAMP 914
Very sorry to hear this, I hope Dave gets better soon. I'm up for sending Dave something from the club to let him know we haven't forgotten him...
Yep, let's let him know we care...
I think Kori would give you guys any info you need, not sure how often she checks the email with all that is going on but here it is again.. kjcawdrey@msn.com
I just sent Kori an email asking the info for you guys, will post it as soon as I get it.
Any update on this?
B
No, I have not got any reply yet from his wife... She is probably at the hospital, she said they were taking out the breathing tube today, but still keeping him on life support...
Monday 4:45 pm -
He's in the ICU at Overlake in Bellevue. Good hospital. No phone calls allowed, and no visitors other than immediate family.
I'll be in Bellevue tomorrow afternoon, and can buy a bouquet of yellow roses with ferns and baby's breath, with a card signed "love from all of us at the 914 Club"... that would be very cheerful and beautiful. The nurses can deliver it to his room.
Would something like that be okay?
Rog
Perfect Roger....We all have Dave in our prayers.
very good rog. pm sent.
k
Thanks, Geoff.
I'll include what you said about prayers (you said it perfectly), and will deliver it ~ 12:30 - 1:00 tomorrow.
Thank you for this post, Chogo!... we here in the NW are just glad to know about this!
No worries about the cost... just say prayers for Dave's recovery.
Dave's in my prayers.
Thanks for picking this up!!!
I'll find out how Dave is doing, unless Chogo hears something first.
Dave's wife Kori is an angel. I'll tell her she is in our prayers, also.
Gotta go to work.. will check back later. Happy thoughts..
Dave and family
we are praying for your recovery
steve +sher
Yes... please keep us posted.
We need a club Ambassador to ask Kori and family if we can do anything...
Here is a pic from my visit to Seattle about 3 years ago...

Thanks for posting this. Dave is always in our thoughts. He has been unfairly stricken for several years now. He always seems to have a good additude and has been an example of how to live. Is there a pay pal or anything we can do?
Please let Dave and KoriJo know we have their family in our thoughts and prayers. And thank you so much for bringing the flowers and our well-wishes to them.
Jen & Brian
I will make every effort to contact Kori when I'm delivering the flowers and card from all of us, and I'll ask what we can do. I'll tell her we'd like to set up a Paypal account to help with the expenses they're incurring. (Thank you for that idea!) I don't know how to set up a Paypal account for her easy access, so if someone could handle that when we get the go-ahead, that would be great.
Please feel free to express your thoughts and ideas.
More later. Love and good energy..

Dave is just resting up so he will be ready for the WCC.
I think of Dave all the time, his situation possibly has more to do with my being here, than a stupid car.
When I walk through life, I sometimes feel ashamed, and very grateful.
You guys are the shit.
Miles
bump for positive thoughts and prayers!
Dave is da man! Feel better soon, bro!
Tuesday 1:30 -
I delivered the flowers and card from everyone at the 914 Club today, and they are beautiful. Kori was there (of course), and she came out to greet me in the ICU waiting room. She is holding up well. Flowers aren't allowed in the ICU rooms, so she is taking them home..
Dave is doing okay. The fluid in his lungs has finally cleared. He is still on a ventilator, but the doctors are thinking of removing it tomorrow. The tube goes in his mouth and down his throat, and he will be very happy to have it removed, as it is uncomfortable for him. So tomorrow is a big day, and hopefully Dave will be able to resume normal breathing.. if not, the tube goes in again for a while. Either way, he'll still be in the hospital for a while.
We have Kori's okay to set up a paypal account. So if someone could set up a paypal account for them, that would be fantastic.
Kori will post when she has time.. probably in a few days.
Good news, good news..
Rog
Good news!!!!
For those newbies here wondering who Dave (Korijo) is... just do a search for "Van" and you will find out all you need to know. In summary, we raised thousands of dollars to buy Dave a VW Van for his wheelchair lift. We held auctions, people donated products, we had fund drives... it was a worthy cause.
Dave's story...
Dave, a former construction worker turning pro skateboarder (just as he was starting to get in his prime), was stricken with ALS about 5-6 years ago (if memory servies me correctly).
Dave is trying to leave a legacy for his two sons. He has already rebuilt and restored a VW bug and with the help of some 914clubbers is working on a 914 for his youngest boy.
We here are lucky to know Dave and his family and I am saddened to hear of his recent struggle.
Dave was assigned 914 Club Member #914 for a reason... because he is an awesome person!
Keep this thread at the top, please.
again for positive thoughts to Dave and family. I still can't believe the way the club came together with the whole van experience! Dave, you're in our thoughts!
Positive thoughts and prayers to Dave and Kori and there two wonderful boys. I have met Dave a couple of times and his whole family is really amazing. See you soon Dave!
Once Dave gets out of the current situation, who all is up for a run up to his place and bang out some more stuff on his teener? It is waiting for us all. I will pick up lunch. Lets arrange it.
Chris
I'll ask about that, Chris.
Wouldn't it be awesome if he can attend the WCC..?
I'll get an update tomorrow ~ 1:00... by then they'll know if he can do without the ventilator. I'm hopeful that he can. Our friend is a very strong-willed fellow, and he wants to go home. Better food at home, no doubt.
Blessings to Chogokin for starting this thread.
Dave talked about wanting to attend the WCC last year. As I understand, his family didn't feel his health was good enough for the long trip. ALS is terribly de-habilitating. I remember reading he wasn't too happy about either. Dave and his family are one of the sponsors on the Rally Plate for the WCC this year. Lets all see if we can help his family with a little donation to the pay pal account. Their good people.
I hope to meet Dave and his family this year at the WCC. Anyone on the fence now is the time to make that commitment.
I'm kind of new to the club and have to say the only way I know Dave is through our recent agreement to trade my bumpers for his, from talking briefly to him and reading this thread Dave sounds like a hell of a guy. I will be watching for the paypal info to pop so that I can put in a bit to help out.
what might be more helpful would be a moving help party if they haven't moved yet. the tub certainly has to go, dave parts stash too.
k
I've only met them once, but it is quite clear around here, these are great people. In my thoughts and prayers.
I would love to pitch in and help if they need it, moving party, work on the cars, whatever. Please keep us posted.
Blessings Cawdreys! Get well soon Dave!
Good ideas. Since his pneumonia came soon after their recent move, it's possible that stuff is still at the old house. I'll ask.
If anyone knows how we can set up a paypal account that the Cawdreys can access, please chime in.
You guys and gals rock..
Here's one from me to you Dave .(unless you want to share )
Get well fast!
Thanks for the update. Each time I think I have it bad.. I think of Dave and his family. It reminds me that I am very lucky.
My thoughts are with you Dave.
I miss talking with you and seeing you post from time to time..
I'll never forget what WE did to get you that damn Van
It is forever burned in my pea brain. I tell people about our club and always bring up the fact that we came together and purchased a wheel chair accessible van for you and your family.
I hope this note gets back to you.
I know your "story" will be forever etched into my memory. If I'm lucky I can tell my kids about yours.
B
Hi Dave,
I hope you are feeling better soon. I'll chip in whenever a paypal account is set up.
John www.ghiaspecialties.com
Mostly this is just to bump.
Instead of a PayPal account where they charge for each transaction, find out where Dave banks and have their bank open a donation account. I work for Chase and we do it all the time. I wish we had branches in the Northwest, it would be easy. If there is B of A, WellsFargo, WaMu, or.... in the area and they also have branches in Arizona, I would be happy to set something up.
Just waiting on a donation account so I can donate.
Good idea about the Donation account.
I'll look into that today, and get back to you.
Going to visit now..
Wednesday 6:30 -
Apparently the rules for Donation accounts have changed since 9/11... now the banks require the beneficiary's social security number. I'm not comfortable asking Kori and Dave for that, so I'd rather we do a Paypal account for them. If someone could please set one up, that would be most appreciated.
I saw Kori at the ICU today, and she said Dave is breathing 40% on the respirator and 60% on his own. His doctors are monitoring his progress every day, and he is improving every day. He is in good spirits, considering.
They are very grateful for everyone's thoughts and prayers.
Dave's 914 and stuff is in the garage at their new place. After he gets home and feels better, a work party will do wonders to boost his spirits, for sure. He and his family love seeing everyone and hanging out.
Rog
Any new gouge on the paypal, or how Dave is doing?
Update on Dave:
Dave is beginning to feel better. He did get the tube out of his mouth last week, but still remains on life support through a Tracheotomy (tube through a hole in his neck). It was our hope that he would be able to get off this machine, but doesn't look like the case for now.
Good new is that he is coming home this next thurs/fri. I will be busy getting everything set up for him, as he will require full-time nursing at home. Our hope is that his lungs will begin to improve so he can get off that machine, our fear is that at anytime the pnuemonia will return and take his life. In all honesty, this has drastically weakened him- BUT, he's the toughest SOB I know and if anyone can do this it's him! He's smiling at me again, and giving the nurses a hard time for amusement. We both thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Who would've thought a 'car club' would be our foundation. If it weren't for all of you we'd still be taking the city bus in order to ride together! Your continuous support really lifts his spirits, and helps our family conquer through some really rough times. I'll be in touch- Kori
Kori... Thanks for the update
Give Dave and the boys a big hug and hang in there!!!
thanks for the update!!!....
well wishes for you Dave!!
Hi Kori
I just sent Dave an e-mail.I should have known to check the site first.ha

Please don;t be afraid to ask any of us for anything.......
We wish Dave a speedy recovery.
Hey guys.
I haven't been around this board much lately, but after moving to Seattle 2 years ago from Canada my wife and I became very close friends to Dave and Kori.
We have had lots of fun together the past couple of years, Its hard to see Dave in this rough of shape.
If anyone wants to donate to Dave and Kori, you can send it to my pay-pal account. I will pay as much of the fees as I can. I can give the money directly to Kori when ever she needs it.
Pay-pal ravedaveblackburn@hotmail.com or you can snail mail me @

You can make a check out to me and I will cash it or to Kori Cawdrey and I will give it to her.
My number is 206 930 4625 if you have any concerns.
Dave will be going home on Thursday of this week. I am going to their house tomorrow to fix up his wheelchair ramp and anything else they might need for his arivial.
Kori is a bit worried about the van not driving right. I took a look at it yesterday and both of the lower ball joints are gone. The upper joints don't look too great either.
I have searched online, but the best I can come up with is $60 each.
Anyone have any idea where I might find them at a better price?
I'm sure Dave would love to have a work party when he is feeling better. I know he wants to get his tub blasted soon and the flares still need to be finished as well as some welding on some replacement panels that have been put in.
We have been working on the van quite a bit. He got 18" wheels that we put on a couple of months ago and we painted the calipers and drums. He was pretty excited. The van lookes pretty nice! We painted the bumpers and the trim too.
Anyway I will keep everyone updated with a total every couple of days and I'll talk to Kori tomorrow to see if there is anything else we can do.
Regards,
Dave Blackburn
Here's a funny pic of Dave and I in Hawaii, He was towing me in his beach chair untill his battery ran out and I had to push his heavy ass back to the condo on a golf course cause he knew a "short cut"
What year is his van? Uppers and lower ball joints? More information please!
Thx

GO! 914 Club, GO!
We may be a wide spectrum of opinionated SOBs, but when the call goes out, the 914 club unites!
ALS is a burden unlike any other, and it is clear Dave is the best competitor that disease has ever met. It sounds good for this p-nu-monia recovery! Yeaa!
Contribution soon to follow....
Hey,
The van is a 93 eurovan GL 2.5.
I think I should replace both the upers and lowers.
Thanks for your help!
Later,
Dave
Hey guys,
Well it looks like Dave won't be able to go home for 2 weeks still.
I guess there was some kind of mix up with ordering some medical equipment he needs. He is getting stronger each day, but he will have to be on a ventilator for a while.
He will also need a 24hr nurse while he is on the ventilator too. Hopefully he gets to pick out a hot nurse with a short skirt .
I'll let you know more info as I get it.
Regards,
Dave
bringing this back to the top. I am willing to donate some $ for ball joints. Who can I get with?
LMK.
Chris
Hey has anyone got that paypal going yet for Dave? Whats up with that? I'd like to help with what I can... BTW any of you guys that know Dave and see him may ask him sometime when you are talking about his teener if he still wants my bumpers, I was working a trade with him before he got sick, I'd give them to him but need them on my car till I get some 916's, (and I'm still too poor for that) I know it is the last thing on his mind but never hurts to ask, thanks.
Hey Guys,
Dave has been home for about 2 weeks now. He still has to be in bed and on a ventilator through a trachiotomy(sp?) so he still can't talk. He has got to be out in his chair a couple times but he doesn't have enough strength back yet to use his chair joystick or a computer mouse. He has to have 24hr care but Kori hasn't been able to find a nurse yet so she is mostly taking care of him. His step Mom also helps out. The state is going to help out a bit with the cost but not much.
Kori said he got to have some 420 today for the first time since he got sick. He was pretty happy!!
My wife, brother and I went over there on July 4th and lit one of there trees on fire with some fire works but it was fun. The boys had a good time and Dave could see from the window. The tree went out too!!!
Chogokin, I'll ask him about the 914 bumper trade this weekend and let you know.
I know he had some wheels and heads to sell/ship so if anyone had anything else going with him let me know and i'll find out. I see him about once a week and can take care of anything then.
If anyone wants to help out I know they will appreciate it. Kori still needs to find some more $ for a nurse to take some of the stress off her as well as all the added expenses of his hospital stay. I think it was almost 4 weeks!!! Anything will help.
You can send donations through paypal to ravedaveblackburn@hotmail.com and I will pay all the fees.
I'm going to bring my laptop over to Dave this weekend so hopefully he will be able to get online for a bit.
Thanks for all your support,
Dave Blackburn
Roll on Brother, keep up the fight. Well wishes to you and yours.
After the WCC I visited my Brother-in-law who lives in Portland and has the same disease. He is a few years older than Dave and has two young boys. He can't use his hands, can't talk or swallow and is fed through a feeding tube. He can walk but just barely. It breaks my heart to see young people get sick like this.
Elliot
Bump!!
Dave didn't show up at the Swap Meet today.
Miss you Dave!!!
Hey everyone.
Thanks for the donations so far. Dave and Kori are very grateful.
Dave got a different trachiotomy on Friday so he can now talk again. He hasn't been able to talk since he first went to the hospital. He would get very frustrated when everyone would have to try to read his lips. It will make him lots happier now that he can talk to his famialy again.
They have found one nurse to work with Dave ,but they are still looking for another one. He still needs 24hr care.
If you would like to donate you can send paypal to ravedaveblackburn@hotmail.com
I'll see if I can get Dave online for a bit this week.
Thanks again,
Dave Blackburn
Thanks for the update on Dave, Dave.
Well wishes going out to Dave.
how is the VAN progress? I can bring a mobile shop to Daves on the CADDY TRANSPORTER (yes that caddy) if needed. Larry
know what I mean?!?! I know Dave does!
Hi Kori, Hi Dave
Dave,
Get better for us and your family, buddy...you are the foundation of this club! One day of these days I will return to Seattle and we will meet again...beers and hotwings are on me!
Best wishes to you, my friend.

Hello to everyone! Just wanted to give another update on Dave. He was able to get a fenestrated 'trache' which allows him to talk at certain times. It's great to hear his voice again. He's also been able to go off life support a little here and there. Although he will probably always remain on life support because of his further muscle loss and weakness, it's nice for him to be able to take breaks. And, yes, he's done a little 'experimenting' with this extra breathing hole
Dave and I would like to thank all of you who have given donations to help our family. It's always greatly appreciated, and never forgotten. We would like to have you all over- maybe some barbeque and beer. Let me know who's interested in the nice drive out to the mountains in North Bend about mid-September, and we can make it official.
I'm trying to get the 914 done through a dream foundation for terminally ill adults. Let's hope it works! Best wishes to all-
Kori
thanks for the update
Kori, you and your family are an inspiration to me. Stay strong and give Dave our best. You are in my prayers.
Glad you are still with us.
Thank you for the updates!
Anyone have their current address?
Hey guys, here's the sort of original Dave thread. His contact info is on here. Maybe to keep things simple, we can keep the updates coming on this thread since it has a decent history on it already.
If we don't hear from them soon, I'll swing by their house in North Bend tomorrow.
No reply to my email yet. It didn't bounce though.
Okay, heading out now, about 2:30..
I'll post when I get back.
We must be getting old. It was their old house! As soon as I saw it, I remembered that they used to live in North Bend, then they moved to a new place in... Sammamish?
Does anyone know that address?
I googled Dave in Snohomish, WA 8 ways to sunday and didn't get an address.
I thought they moved to Snoqualmie? (Not Sammamish or Snohomish?)
Tried that also, Dave Cawdrey,Snoqualmie,wa... nothing.
Doesn't his parents own a business? Maybe we can give them a call and see if they'll put us in touch with them.
Yes!.. Snoqualmie.. that's it!
Did a zabasearch for "Cawdrey" in Snoqualmie, and got their address. Woot! Gotta give credit where credit is due - thank you KaptKaos, for mentioning zabasearch. Dude!
I can't go to Snoqualmie until next weekend. Maybe someone else can give it a try before then? And yes, Dave's parents and siblings live in the Fremont area of Seattle, and have a business. That's kinda on my way to work. They don't know me, but I'll swing by.
Of course, it would be best to hear from Kori directly. Maybe she'll receive Rick's e-mail soon..
Rog
they used to live in Snoqualmie before moving to North Bend....
I bought a set of 916 bumpers from him before the club/world fracture. I had an email with his newest (parents) address on it, but it was lost in the shuffle. If one of they sys admins can go back to the archive's, we might be able to rescue it. I am headed over to Quincy today for a couple of days. Since his new address is right off the freeway, I will swing by and see if I can find it. Not high hopes, but fortune may bless.
Bleyseng -- you're right.
The gang moved Dave's 914 shell from Fremont to Snoqualmie, using Larry's Caddy-hauler. So they moved to Snoqualmie first, and then North Bend.
Well.. the North Bend house is empty (literally), and there's a "for sale" sign out front with a real-estate company's name on it.. some small real-estate company that I never heard of. The house looked like it hadn't been occupied all winter.
This *might* indicate that Dave has passed on, and that Kori and the boys are living in Seattle again, near family. I guess the thing to do is go to the Cawdrey family's business in Fremont this week (the same building where his 914 shell was located when the gang widened the fenders). Maybe Kori will be there, or maybe she's back in Snoqualmie?
Okay, we'll see..
Nope, we would have gotten a hit on google. They must have just moved where Kori could get more care for Dave.
Yes, thank you.
Okay, that would mean they're in Seattle, or maybe Snoqualmie. Each place has its advantages. I'll swing by their family business this afternoon on my way to work.
I remember the store and his folks. Dave's wife forgot her purse on the 914 move and I remember my wife and I going back to get it. Hopefully they will have some information for us.
It appears there may be a viable "treatment" soon. I have a friend with ALS using the methods of this study (with his docs) to slow the effects substantially-
If we find Dave and Kori we need to tell them about it.
http://www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/0708022105v1.pdf
Wonderful news, everybody!
I got a voice-mail tonight from Dave's mother (Lillian) and she said Dave and Kori are doing good, and she's going to visit them tomorrow, and will pass along our greetings! She said she'll call me again tomorrow evening with an update. Far freakin' out!!!
So it looks like Dave and Kori are in Seattle, and Dave is doing pretty good! Wow!!!!! I'll post updates as soon as I get them. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask! I'll ask about some kind of get-together during the WCR, and/or before..
Totally awesome.
AWESOME! That is such great news. Thanks for following this up.
I'm so glad to post such good news.
Sorry it took me so long to post. I just got off work (midnight).. got Lillian's voice-mail at 7:30!.. been smiling all evening..
Great to hear he is doing well. I wonder how old his kids are now?
I remember reading about the 914 move. Coolest flat bed truck ever!!
That was a fun day!
The Caddy-hauler had an escort of 914s..
Dave and Kori in The VanĀ® with big grins..
Maybe we'll do that again soon.
Please tell him about the lithium study. It is REAL.
This is great news to hear! Thanks for the update....
I agree! I was dreading bad news. I'm glad he's doing OK.
I just got off the phone with Lillian again. She'll be seeing Dave and Kori today, at their house in North Bend. They moved to a house "in town" near the Community Center. Lillian says it's a better house and it's more convenient to get to.
She'll pass along greetings from the group, and she'll ask them two questions today:
(1) I said we're interested in having Work Parties to work on the 914, if that's what Dave wants us to do. She thinks he would like that very much, and she'll ask him for the go-ahead.
(2) I said we're having a big event in mid-June (the WCR), and we'd like to have a get-together of some kind at Dave and Kori's place, just to say hello. She thinks he would like that very much also, and she'll ask him about that.
She said it's difficult for Dave to read e-mails because Kori has to hold the monitor close to him (which is hard for Kori). She says it would mean a lot if we sent CARDS to Dave and Kori, wishing them well and letting them know we're thinking of them.
She said it would mean a lot..
Here is Dave and Kori Cawdrey's address:
460 Meadow Drive SE
North Bend, WA 98045
Thank you, everyone.
(SGB, I didn't forget. I'll mention the lithium next time I talk with her. Could you please send me a PM with a link to that info? Thanks!)
Thank you for staying at this. I'll send a card out.
Edit: If Dave and Kori are up to the excitement of a work party someone will need to photo and do an evaluation on the cars present condition and what is available for tools, compressed air, body supplies, a place to prime the car, and what parts are there for reinstalling the suspension, driveline, interior, etc. I told Sandy if there is any way to fit this into our summer were going help out.
Here's a couple of thoughts.
As stated we need a complete inventory and body condition. This may require a team of guys before the work party. It may even take more than one day. The eval team will need someone with body skills, machanical skills, and someone with a good working knowledge of how 914's go together and someone with very good inventory and organizational skills. Parts should be boxed, labeled and grouped for a build day production push.
If were going to really get anything done we will need to form teams that can do production auto body, build sub assemblies for the mechanicals and get wiring and fuel systems ready to install.
We may even need to move the car to a local shop for a long weekend. So anyone with a space or a body shop connection, we will need you to step forward.
I think we could do an Overhauling type build with the right planning.
Is there an engine? transaxle?
If it's okay with Dave and Kori, maybe we could look at the car this weekend.
I don't have a camera, but some of us do..
Maybe Sunday?
rick, to my knowledge the car hasn't been touched work wise since the fender stretching deal. the only handling has been is a few moves. it's near completely apart. apart enough that 4 guys could carry it easily. long road. depends where the tub is and where all of the parts are.
k
Don't forget this Sunday is Mothers day. I would love to come out and just take a look at Dave's 914 again to see were it's at and what it needs. I am also totally up for any work parties anyone schedules.
There is a chance I MIGHT, mind you MIGHT be able to get a hold of a 42" Plasma screen that is only good for PC/Laptop use (flat screen, wall mountable). If I could secure this, I don't have anything to haul it in. I am thinking Dave could read if the letters on his screen were 3-4 inches tall. Anyone have a truck or SUV if I can get this thing? It's friggen heavy.
I have a Nissan Armada. Things are pretty busy now, but I could schedule a weekend day to help a great cause.
I just shot my boss an e-mail asking him if we could have to donate the TV and if not, what he would want for it. I should know by tomorrow.
I could supply shop space for a bit. No compressor though.
BTW, they say that Plasmas should never be laid on their backs. Always keep them upright. With LCD's, it doesn't matter, but I'm told the Plasma TV's can suffer significant damage if not transported carefully and upright.
I only met Dave once (two summers ago) and bought some sheet metal off of him, but I'm happy to join everyone else in a work party to get a car built for him. Please keep the postings alive here with updates as they happen.
Thanks!
I talked to my boss today and he said we could have either the 36 or 42" plasma. Both work and are pretty much only good for PC use. If anyone goes to see Dave and his family this weekend, make sure to ask if they would like it for thier PC.
Dan, nothing afoot this weekend.
Dave's mother (Lillian) says next weekend looks pretty open. I'll send an e-mail to her today, to pass along the info above. I'll post as soon as I hear back from her.
You guys are way cool.
Thinkin the good thoughts
I don't have anything to haul a Plasma TV in. Anyone want to jump on this. Else I will let the offer die off. Lemme know.
Thanks for the updating regarding Dave!!!! As Redbeard said back in 2006, "This is one of the main reasons I am still involved with 914's. The thread regarding Dave tells what the hole 914 scene is all about.
Thanks for following and getting current information on Dave and his family. Let us know if people living from afar can help in anyway possible.
The best of everything and our thoughts are with Dave and his family.

Please keep us posted if you learn any news. I want to help.
This weekend would be awesome.
Dave and Kori's address:
460 Meadow Drive SE, North Bend
There's a good chance that I'll have some free time saturday afternoon.
I'm finishing our move this weekend.
You guys are golden
Looks like itll have to be Sun?
Jeff will be over here tomorrow helping me then I have a Baseball game for my
son at 4:30
Rich and I picked up the TV/Monitor for Dave this weekend. We need his Seattle address for delivery though. Maybe this coming weekend or some weeknight? Rich has the TV in his truck.
It's posted in this thread. 460 Meadow Drive SE, North Bend
Rog can you confirm? I think that is the old address.
Hi, Rich.
Yes, that's their new address, per Dave's mom (Lillian). She said it to me on the phone,
and then I repeated it back to her to confirm that it's correct.
Their old house was on the south side of I-90. They moved to the north side of I-90
(red star on map) for easier access to I-90, shopping, etc.

Sounds like a couple of guys should plan on a little trip to North Bend to set up a new monitor for Dave then.
Anyone up for this weekend?
The Caddy-hauler is still available to move the tub if needed. Also have portable compressors and body tools. My buddy at the paint store may be able to get a break on the cost of paint and supplies. Anyway I can help let me know, Larry aka Caddy-hauler
Any news?
We should pick a date and stick with it. I have class on the 14th so it may be tough for me to join next weekend with Fathers Day on the 15th. Rich has the monitor loaded and ready to go, so it's not like I have to be around. Rich, you free either day this next weekend? let's get it done.
Rich, what do you think?.. maybe Saturday the 14th?
Dan, do we have everything to install the big-screen, and connect it to Kori's laptop?
Sorry was off the reservation this WE, the Boy had his last games of spring ball over the WE ...in the Rain.
On a positive note he did end up with the team leading batting average
What a June friggin wet an cold
Anyway yes I think this next WE we can put it together.
Monitor is Safe sound and Dry.
Ok were down for this Sat. late afternoon.
Rog can you contact Kori or whom youve been communicating with
and confirm. Dan is on board.
Locals.. any that would would like to help or just visit perhaps we can
arrange a small drive.
Yup, Michelle and I "should" be in the 914 and meeting at Rich's around 3:30PM
Just so everyone can plan - what is the expected arrival time at Korijo's?..
4:00? earlier? later? It's all good.
E-mail sent to Dave and Kori.
We could meet at the McDonald's in North Bend just off I-90 and
caravan a few blocks to the house, or just meet at the house.
What time, pleeeese?
Take a good clear inventory of his car. Front to rear, suspension, engine, transaxle, wiring, etc.
Rich, it's about 4:30 Friday afternoon, and I haven't heard back from Kori. It could mean that she's busy with school and hasn't checked her e-mail in the last 24 hours, but it also could mean that the Cawdreys are busy this weekend. I don't know. I'll post again at midnight (my next opportunity) to let you know if this weekend is a "go" or not..
If it's a go, what is your expected arrival time?
figure 45 min to an hr if no traffic issues w/Dan and I leaving my house
'round 3:30
Well, shit..
It's after midnight. It's 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, and Kori has not replied to my e-mail. We have to cancel. It would suck to go all the way out there, just to find nobody home.
Maybe we can do it next weekend.
emails . didn't one of you guys get a phone #?
k
Reviere, Call Daves mom again. Maybe she can help out with a phone number.
Yeah, I'm an idiot.
Good idea, Chris. I have Lillian's cell-phone number somewhere in my e-mails. I'll call her and explain the situation, and ask for their number, and then I'll call Kori.
I'll do that now.
I am heading off to class and will still stop by Rich's place after. If we're on, we're going. Got the 914 all gassed up.
It's almost 10:00. I just left a voice-mail on Lillian's cell phone, with my phone number. I assume she'll call me as soon as she gets the message, so we should know soon.
I'll post as soon as I know.
Well, it's 2:45... no phone calls, no e-mails.
I guess we should call it off, and get a nice buzz on.
Rich, can you keep the big-screen for another week?
No issues.
We'll make it happen
Enjoy the Sat.
