914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Clutch Cable connection to cluster

Posted by: bd1308 May 24 2006, 05:56 PM

OK, so not only did a E-brake cable and a clutch cable become useless and riuned by the incident, but I found that my speedometer cable is leaking black oil-like substance all over the exterior of the cable, or was...

Anyway, I cant see where the clutch cable attaches to the clutster, nor can I make the pedal go to the floor, because it is currently connected and it is rather dark outside...

show me what i can't see....

it's all pretty detailed in the chapter regarding the clutch, in your haynes manual.

It's daylight.....go look at it now or buy a flashlight if you are nocturnal.

the black oil like substance is probably black oil :brilliant:

What exactly are you looking for? you didn;t post much of a question?
I am sure there are alot of things you can;t see.
Take "R" rated movies for one. laugh.gif

seriously, are you trying to hook up your clutch cable, or what? idea.gif
what incident? did i miss another post?

loosen the cable inthe rear (as suggested) if you are trying to hook it up at the assembly. it will give you more room to work with. i am guessing you have already removed your carpet and pedal board?

Britt,
I corrently have my pedal cluster out of the car. You could stop by and see how everything hooks up.

We still up for the rust repair?

Yes we're still up for the rust repair....I just hope I have enough detail to explain the extent of the rust...but then again at worst we'll get the firewall fixed and the floorpan fixed. I think I'll be amazed at the end of this I think.
