914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Clone 914-6 Steering column and dash shell

Posted by: 914Sixer May 25 2006, 12:51 PM

This is a 69-73 911 column stripped of the mounting hardware and a 72-76 914-4 steering column plate welded on for mounting. You use the internals fron the 911 and bolt it up. The one on the right is a real 6 assembly.

I added a picture of the real 6 mounting and column as a reference. Note the samll mounting plate that was used during 70-71.

My clone dash made from a bent 6 dash and a late model 4 dash shell so I could retain my ventilation.
