914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Gas pedal ball cup keeps popping out

So the gas pedal connects to the pedal cluster using this funny arm with a ball cup and a ball that snaps into it.. mine keeps popping out. Am I missing a part that keeps the ball inside the cup?

You really need to push the ball into the cup. Make sure its all the way in ( ). You may need to squeeze it with some vice-grips.

I think there is a very small wire spring or clip that is inside the cup that expands when you push it in. Have a close look at it.

Or its worn out ....... get a new one.
