Posted by: messix Jun 1 2006, 09:40 PM

there is no indent, no scribe, no cast in marks any where!

wtf!!!!!!!!! so i get it to tdc on the dizzy,[ i think] and push the car i little and i find about an inch of black on the impeller with a blade centered on it. did i find my 7.5% time mark?

so anyway i calked the blade and timed it on that. seems to run ok.

there should be a mark on the flywheel as well for referance....

go check out the tech article @ Pelican on timing...they show a template that'll give you a good idea where to look and how to mark it....

ok so i read the timing for carbs tech and it mentions that the marks are tucked up on the back of the impeller? now does that make sense?
