Oh hell no... I can't forget you guys
Back from being polished and Thomas, I think this may solve some of your pitting problems.
Do you want me to anodize them again or do you like them like this?

OMG!! caliper porn!!!
This "re-anodizing" thing has been a learning experience. AL has to be mirror polished before you anodize it otherwise it "really" comes out looking dull.
I generally bead blast S-Calipers and they look pretty good. They look more like some of the vintage race-shop type calipers (908 etc.). The thought with these was to restore them to stock which is a gold anodized finish.
Glenn had to have them for his 911S that he's never gonna finish (hey, SLITS words not mine ) and Thomas just wants to be a pain in the butt
Teasing guys... you've both been Saints through this process.
It's been an ordeal... they've been bead blasted, sent back to Thomas' shop to get the steel taken out of them (after finally getting in touch with an engineer at ATE), re-anodized (looked like crap), de-anodized and now polished for re-anodization.
I thought I'd post the polish look so they have an alternative before they go back in the anodizing tank this week.
Ricky... don't even think about it!
That's some fuch'n bling!
very nice
Glenn are you out there?
Are you asking about Glenn Sager....the calipers I sent you for him or is there another lurker in the process?
They look great as is to me. I can add some serious blink with those babies! Is there any way to protect that finish? Maybe some kind of clear coat?
Is this thread title a "Glengarry glen ross" reference?
Put the Calipers down. Calipers are for closers....
Steak Knives for SLITS. Put down the caliper! You think I'm kidding?
So Glenn, here's the choice's:
Clear Anodizing - Gives the finish on a stock Fuchs wheel. It's hard to find a stock Fuch's now-a-days but I think you know what I mean. It turns a mirror finish to satin. Not quite what Aa was thinking...
Gold Anodizing - As close to the stock look as we can get at this point.
Nada - Leave them as is and don't go drive'n in the rain. Blind SLITS with your dazzling caliper display.
Oh Lord, to blind me he would actually have to have it running AND pull it out of the hermatically sealed, tempertaure controlled garge in which it would reside. It is for certain I won't be looking for a white cane before I'm dead.
All dem assdraggerpilots are the same, 'specially when dey is turned upsides down....Now don't get excited Aaron...it's a finger of speech.
If it's not too much trouble, lets go for the clear anodizing. If it is a hassle, the gold anodizing is just fine. I'm easy....
Let me know when ya wanna work on your 6 conversion again SLITS
Here's how the high polish looks once it's anodized. People doing their own wheels should pay attention. I think we got the desired result.
Thomas, your's look great as well. I'm waiting for the proper o-rings to arrive on those. We went roundy-round with the supplier getting them. Should be in the mail.
Final touch: I want to get some new crossover lines and then they're good to go.

Got a question for the Doc...
