914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Another Fuchs Size Question

Posted by: t collins Jun 4 2006, 05:55 PM

Which of the two 16"x 8" Fuchs wheels (911 & 951) is the best choice on the rear of my 914 with 1" spacers and flaires? dead horse.gif

The 951 wheel is usually for non flared cars...putting a spacer on it will make it like a 911 offset. One inch spacer on a 911 wheel and a 245 tire will fill the normal flare up to the max and may require lip removal if glass or roling if steel based on my experience.

the 911 wheel...not only is it much, much cheaper, it'll move the wheel out further to fill up the wheel well....

the 951 (944 turbo) would be good for the front and or the rear if you want 8's and not have as wide as a flare (still need a flare, in the rear, just not GT flares)
