Could someone post the exact proven combination of parts for the 915 drive flange, 944 CV joint , 914 axle, 944 Cv, 944 stub, and 911 hub, required to five-bolt a 4 cyl. car? So far I have figured that all the early 924 and 944 shafts and CV parts are the same except those for auto-trans, and everything after 1987 is a 951 starting number. I'm going to pull the halfshafts out of my 82 924 turbo this weekend and see if they mate up to the hubs in my 70 911. And if that works, I'll see if the CV's fit the 914 axle, but only if the axles are different in length. If you know the answers please stop me, before I dismantle another car.
Ok I found it.
944 Turbo stub axle p/n 951.332.235.01
924, 944, Normally aspirated Man trans CV's p/n 944.331.901.00 or the complete axle, p/n 477.501.103
911 up to 1973 wheel hub, p/n 901.331.065.09
915 flange, from a 912E or 911, p/n 923.332.209.02
But what of the spacer? And a "modified" 914 axle? Is the ring land different for the snap retainer? WTF?
