I have owned this '73 914 2.0 for 25 years.

It's great to finally find a decent 914 web site and forum.

Gorgeous car and welcome to the BBS. This is an exciting place...stay tuned...

The black out trim is beautiful, I wonder why more 914 cars aren't done this way.

Do you know there is a great group of 914 owners near you...?

They call themselves:
Southern
Michigan
Owners
Group

SMOG for short. Somebody speak up and get Don involved...

The Black Trim was all Powder Coated, many years ago.
It is very, very durable.

I live in Grand Haven.

The 914 is a '73 2.0 with lots of little tricks and mods
over the years.

I prefer the "lighter" contrast of the chrome on this color.
I think it they tie in well with the bumpers and the wheels.

Color matched wheels are awesome.
(as long as it's the right color, which yours is for sure)

Welcome Don!

I like the car, nice! Very Nice! We're having a fun run down here in Nashville, IN Oct 18. I think there are a couple Michigan/Northern OH guys coming down. We'd love to have you, too!

welcome, Don. Great car. Let me personally invite you to become a member of our little group - SMOG (Southeast Michigan Owners Group). you certainly don't have to live in SE MI to be a member, but you do have to pay the annual membership fee of $0.00 which covers everything. Just send me your e-mail address and I'll get you on the mailing list. We have a few events a year when we get together for a drive and a bite to eat, and maybe a winter get together with our "other" cars too. I will be heading down to Sean's Ind. event in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to drum up some interest with the group to get some other members to attend. I hope to see you there. I'll certainly recognise ytour car if it's there.

Nice car!

I live in Kalamazoo, we need to get together. I'll let you take the 2270cc powered 914 for a spin!!!!

Later.
Tom
