Just installed new ones... with the amount of play in these bearings... the rear susp would wobble just going down the street!!
Do they tighten up? or whats the deal?
Do I need to get new one's?
Did you pull/push the rear hubs into the bearing?
Hubs and axles in? Castellated nut tight?
SKF's start suuuper sloppy. but they pull in tight.
Bearings where done by mike, using a press.
hubs in, axles not.
Skf's.. Thanks Aaron.. No worries now.
Well.. you've heard it from slits... FAG's are tight!!
Anyways... I havent put the axles in yet.. so im sure with that in, it'll snug up good... If not... well... new bearing time.
tq???? TQ??? I just jump on it a little with a breaker bar... (normally)
but... I think I'll try and tq them.. (240 sounds right)... Maybe I'll just have dad stand on the bar at X location... he's around 240........ lol
There are two halves to a bearing. Until they are squeezed together, they will be loose as hell. When you tighten them up with the stub axle, it will resolve the problem.
