914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Spark coming from Torque coil and distr wire.

It's sparking at the connection point of the distrib wire to the torque coil. I'm wondering if it is time for a new wire from the distrib to the torque coil of my electronic Ignition (Jacobs I.C.E. Pak http://www.jacobselectronics.com/products/energypaks/icepak.htm) or if the torque coil may need replacing?

Any ideas anyone? icon14.gif

Sounds like a new wire to me. The Jacobs stuff is pretty strong.. it takes some decent wires to contain the energy.

Yep that did the trick. I put an 8mm suppressor wire on and Voila! no more sparking. Thanks for the input. I like those low cost solutions.
