Got done early, so I yanked the transmission.
Found one leak, I took the clutch arm ball out by hand.
It already has a .060 washer in it. I had to use ground down bolts to fit a new 4-spring disc in my clutch.
So how much more washer should I use?
The washer is used to compensate for removing material off the flywheel. What is removed, you must put under the ball.
James
First off we use the 6 spring 911 disc..
Second.. if you have to grind the bolt heads down.. typically this means the flywheel needs replacing (you should know that..lol)
The ball cannot handle being "hung" out of the case very far before it becomes a constant leak and rips the threads out.

The new four spring disc was free, came with a parts car.
This is a tempory engine. My JYD (Junk Yard Dog) engine that I have a total of about $350. (canadian) into and what you want me to spend more cash on it! LOL!
Of course it "should" be replaced but...
I'll flip for a new fly on my big four...
According to my manual it should still work, it's on its last cut.

Try adding one more washer for now, to make it work.
Geoff
It worked!
Two washers, .120
Thanks!
