I was a bit disappointed in the 914 representation at the Concourse, but I am sure there will be more at the AX on Wed and Thurs. Here are some cool pictures that I took the last two days.

Enjoy,
Britain

The yellow 906 was a just completed, full-on restoration completed by Mike Gent of Sherwood OR. I have watched the progress of this car for about a year.

Unbelievable detail!

This car was raced for years and had an interesting past!

Very Cool!

I didn't register for the Parade - it filled up. Are there events that I can just show up to and check out cars?

Nice pictures Mr. B. Keep them coming.

Steve's car sure looked good, including that great advertisement for: 914world.com

The Autocross is open to the public I'm told....or to PCA members fer sure.
Wednesday & Thursday.till 4:00PM

Driver count keeps climbing......325 or so...give or take, maybe blink.gif . Registration was a bit chaotic. Apparently a lot of folks weren't directed to the autocross desk.

Can you tell me whose 914 LE Bumblebee that is in the first post? Or at least the VIN?

Steve's car does look good. If everything works out.. I'll have a replica of it soon. White with a blue stripe!! LOL

Hey Britain - is that your 912 with the California plates?

If so we want to see pictures from underneath. You've been busy.

Nah, that isn't mine. That one was a '66 and was in the concourse. I have not been busy enough.

I am sure that there were probably more than one CGT at Parade but one of the silver ones, maybe even the one you have pictured belongs to a friend, Mike Ambrosewitz. He lives about a mile from me. He is more of a 914 guy than anything. He has three or more 914's including a 3.8 project with tubed rear suspension and GT2 front end, a 914-6 conversion that tears it up with us at the autocrosses, and a 914-4 2 liter autocross car.

Mike is not only a great 914 guy to hang around with, he's also a great human being. Wish there were more people like him around.

I have a huge soft spot for 906s....one or two show up at the glen every year for the vintage races. Love the louvered back window....

Disappointed is the same feeling I had as I just counted seven 914s at the Portland Parade Concourse. Below is the underbody of the red California 912.
