Get an SC with the 3.0 engine...rock solid! You might be able to find a bargain 3.2 Carrera for under 15k if you look hard and long enough. An SC should be easy to find in great shape for under 15k. 2.7's are known for having head stud issues...but alot of them are probably fixed by now so if you run across a 2.7, ask if the head studs have been redone. If they haven't..plan on having that done in your purchase price.

Pay a little more and get a clean Carrera. More power and better fuel economy. Motronic FI is rock solid. Mine is a daily driver. Just get a good PPI before making the plunge.

Gary,

Not to high jack your thread, but I have been contemplating exactly the same question. I have a 1981 911sc Targa lined-up but I'm on the fence if I should pick it up. confused24.gif
