i returned this evening from the vintage grand prix at watkins glen, 4 years running the largest vintage racing event in the country. Very good turnout this year, and porsche was the featured mark.
I saw about 10 - 15 914s including race cars, more than I've ever seen there. Are they really getting that popular out east?
caution, many pictures I went a little nuts.
Up first are car show pics, including a yellow 914 I believe owned by a club member

next, the racers paddock. Here's a couple low budget operations for you...why race one cobra and GT40 when you can have 2 at twice the price

I see many Porsches, where are the many pic's?
Must have been a blast.
most successfully raced 904 Carerra GTS and Porsche 910

wow those are great. Good avatar too...

last but not least...the crew. I am in yellow.
It won't let me upload any more pics! ah well...
In conclusion, its a great event that gets overlooked I think. The racing is awesome and the amount of cars overwhelming. Now you know....
yeah that was a typo...my bad. it was a 904 with a 2.0 six I believe....
