I think I hear the voice of an instructor I know on the first Sears Video, no, yes?
Yes, sir!!
Where's Greg W?
KT
ya, the audacity of that driver throwing rocks and dirt onto your nice new paint job
Where is that guy?
As always, thanks for the vids Trekkor!
that Lotus got smoked despite it's yellow paint. was that the v8 equiped kind?
I don't know much about Lotus...Except passing them.
KT
So that is what the corkscrew looks like from the track!
great video!!
WOW! Thanks Trekor. Those are some great video's. I've always wanted to drive Laguna , especially the corkscrew. Must be just the most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on.
Tom
losin some time due to too tall of gears
close ratio is your friend
MSX is a good all around short box
That was fun Trekkor.Thanks!
I really need to get back to work on my car.
In the Sears videos, you can hear a clean accel all the way to redline.
In the Laguna vid, you can hear my carbs choking my motor between 6-7K. Killed my lap times. Lugging up the hills...
It's azaming to me that an increase of only 3 mph average, equals a 5 second lap time improvement
KT
Trekkor, the videos are fantastic. I've been running Laguna since 1977 with GGR. Allow me to share a little tip an old racer gave me way back when. When you down shift for the Corkscrew and make the left turn, the car gets "light" as you are basically almost airborn, UPSHIFT while this is happening and when your car hits the bottom of the turn both hands are back on the wheel and you can be on the power as you are exiting the turn. Try it the next time you are at Laguna. It might be worth a 10th. or 2 off your lap time. It has worked for me in just about every Porsche that I've ever driven there.
Ken Mack...
thanks Ken. I should know that because turn 5 at TH ( CCW) is like a "mini-corkscrew" and I figured out that same tecnique there.
Next year...
KT
Great job Trekkor! I'm seriously proud of you. I recall when you started all of this... Several of us wondered if you would ever "get it" It appears you are well beyond "get it" now!!
Ken Mack:

Thanks's Brad. You rode along with me at Streets at the WCC '04.
So, you have seen me from the start.
Also, *the guy* who guided me through the suspension build.
How many times have you seen me spin the car at the a/x?
Some of the credit must surely go to you. thanks again.
