914World.com _ 914World Garage _ V8 goodness

Posted by: ppickerell Sep 22 2006, 08:47 PM

I got a ride in Chris Julian's badass V8 powered 914 today and man it will be hard to fire up my little fartcan 4 tomorrow morning despite Jake's conviction regarding hacked 914's. This car is a BEAST. Fire it up in a parking garage and multiple alarms go off. Pantera trans, chevey race engine, hold on, shut up and vroooom.

That is one of the sickest 918s ever. Major props to Chris.

I had a nightmare about the new wing though. Just a nightmare I'm sure. poke.gif

Wow Chris. Simply amazing. pray.gif

What? This wing?

Is it going to fly off during the next speed run?

I added safety straps just in case the latches give way.

Hi Chris I read thru your threads on your (you know "car" just doesn't seam

appropriate in your case)car. With the wing it is more like a X-15 than a 914,

do you have a mach meter in that array of gauges?

530 IIRC.

Purple car is Harry's.. Suposed 540 in a non reinforced bare bones v8.

I took pics of Chris's car at the WCC05......even with it's oil leak (marking it's territory) it's a bad ass car. smile.gif

I was behind Chris going down PCH into Santa Barbara. with the parking lot traffic and temps in the 90s, I was happy to be in my Jeep with a tow dolly full of 914.Chris that is still a very clean machine.
