I have been working on getting my new baby home for months and when she finally arrived I can't drive her. Seems Texas is a stickler on the safety inspections.
She has 911 Rotors on the rear with no parking brake.
Seems you have to have one of those.
Anybody out there have
914/6 Rear Brake Rotors
914 Calipers
Hand Brake Cables
so I can swap out the 911 Rotors and calipers or know of a way to rig up a parking brake for 911 rotors?
Also looking for Turbo Valve covers for 2.4.
The car is at Wes Hildreth's shop in Plano and he suggested I contact Clay.
Clay you out there?
Oh yeah before I get the - This Thread is Useless with out pics....

Niiiiice Car. Do a search on parking or emergancy brakes there has been on going threads about it.
Yep Clay would be your best choice to get you hooked up on the brakes. Nice car
Let me know if you need brakes and rotors. I can help. Beautiful car.
Whoa! Nice car there! It's the right color too! Congrats!
WoW That is a thing of Beauty, Great color
Send a PM to JOHNMAN.

Thanks for the kudos.
I definately have a permagrin.
Can't wait to get her street legal so I can enjoy driving her around.
Here are specs that I know of so far.
Rust Free Tub from what I can tell – Original color L20
Steel Flares
Fresh 2.4 ltr six - PO is going to send me the details on rebuild
Rebuild was done by Albert Broadfoot in Jacksonville Fla. - Broadfoot Racing. com
Weber 40 IDT carbs with fresh rebuild
Electromotive Ignition
Quick Release Steering Wheel
Velios oil tank
911 Carrera Front Suspension (Bilstien Shocks, 180lb rear springs)
914-6 stub axles on rear
Boxed trailing arms along with what looks like additional stiffing supports welded in the trunk
Wilwood 4 piston caliper brakes on front
911 turbo rear brakes - causing me headaches because of no parking brake...
Turbo Tie Rods
19mm master cylinder
Roll Cage
Recent Paint - a found a bublbe or two but mostly looks good...
I love the color! Good for Fall lol (my pumpkin)
New Lenses - although I am having problems with the turn signals
8x15 front Fuchs
9x16 rear Fuchs
Top is in ok condition, there is a worn spot near the drivers side. My last 914 I had smoothed and painted the top but with the orange on this I like the orignal look. Anyone know how to reproduce the texture?
Since it has quick release steering wheel I am also needing to rig up a horn.
Thanks for the help guys on the parking brake I have sent a few PMs to Clay and Eric.
I also checked out JOHNMAN's blog. Very nice. I wonder how hard that is to implement.
dekman - I am curious about a Renegrade parking brake. If you can send a pic that would be great. I wonder if it is street legal in Texas. I had someone suggest a line lock but found out that is not legal.
You might consider getting antique plates -
Gets you out of the state required inspection -
But, you maybe limited on the # of miles you are told you can drive it...
And welcome to the neighborhood -
Thom
talk to eric about the brakes!!
Bryan, here's a couple of pic'sof the parking brake... Hey, post some more pic's of your car!
