Is the big difference in the fuel pressure or the spray output? Help a dumbass out.
Flow rate, & connector type. The 1.8 was quite different than the 1.7 & 2.0.
I do not have the numbers, but I would expect them to flow different volumes.
The D-jet injectors operate straight from the ECU. L-jet injectors use a resistor block between the power source and the injector. 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 L-jet injectors differ in flow rate. It's probably more complicated than that, but they're essentially not interchangeable. The Cap'n
1.8L = L-Jet Injector, 0 280 150 112, Flow rate is around 18 lbs per hour
2.0L = D-Jet Injector, 0 280 150 019, Flow rate is around 36-38 lbs per hour
that and the fact that the different impedence makes them not interchangeable at all.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, guys. I thought there was a major difference in the flow rate. I was not sure about the impedence.
Are you asking about 1.8 and 2.0, or 1.7 and 2.0. The later being from d-jet, and interchangeable. So long as all 4 are the same.
On L-Jet, you can swap in 912 E injectors and they'll work (for bigger engines using L-Jet). I believe they flow the same as D-Jet 2.0 Injectors.
