Posted by: dadsscooter Oct 16 2006, 06:29 PM

I have two cases...one with the five dowels ...one without any. Some idiot (me) used extra strength loctite during last rebuild on them. Cant get the buggers out .
I have tried several different tools and penetrates. Starting to screw them up.
At this point am looking for 5 new ones. Anyone know who might sell them???

Did you get them out? loctite will break down with a little heat. I did say little. Another option is to drill and tap for about 4mm thread. make yourself a slide hammer that has a long 4mm set screw in the end. Use this to pull them out. Dowel pins are not that hard to find. You may even find them in your local hardware store. The length is critical. You will need to cut them to length. If you get hard ones, then grinding them to length will need to be done.
