914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 15x7,8 Fuchs prices

Posted by: jasons Oct 21 2006, 12:27 PM

What should I expect to pay for 15x7,8 Fuchs in "needs resored" condition and "just done by Al Reed" condition?

It seems fuchs are almost an appreciating investment these days.

Do an advanced search on the eBay and you can check "past" auctions. You can see what they all sold for.

Yeah, I've done that. It looks like $700-$1200 is the going rate. I have an opportunity to buy some locally that could use a refinish and have almost new tires in sizes 205/60 and 215/60 for around $750-$800. Thats probably not a bad price. If they had 205/50 and 225/50 tires, I wouldn't hesitate.

I think if you got them (full set) for anything under $700 you'd be doing OK.

I could (and have) sell 15 X 7 Fuch all day for 200 bucks each....for just decent ones.

You do suck don't you?

I got this car, a 73 2.0 for $1100 with 16x6 fuchs and 911sc front end and a whole lot more so I guess I ain't doin' that bad.

About Al Reed, I want the RSR annodized look and thats like $520 + shipping. I swear though, if you do these wheels right, they will probably appreciate.

Posted by: Aaron Cox Oct 21 2006, 09:27 PM

RSR finish = instachubby ® very cool. weidman does it also but costs more...

im sure the wheels would appreciate some with the RSR treatment

I just paid $200 for a set of 911.361.020.11 8s & 7s. I guess I lucked out too.
Aaron what is the RSR finish and who does it? I'm thinking it's the dull look?

One I faked the RSR finish with a paint Eastwood sells. Harvey is $215.00 for a 7, $220 for an 8, and so on...I did this one for some tape and an $8.00 dollar rattle can.

What eastwood paint? Their wheel stuff or something else. Looks good!

Alumablast. Simulates a rough cast finish, like the RSR wheels were. Here they are on my 914-6, same paint.

Did you spray the silver first?
