914World.com _ 914World Garage _ favorite bar.....

Posted by: pete-stevers Oct 21 2006, 03:01 PM

i hoping for opinions on this matter???
which do you have.....which do you prefer.....
why????

NO CONTEST...

tarett is nicer quality, square ends to the bars, nice billet/cnc machined end pieces and BIGGER 10mm heim joints vs the smaller 8mm welt ones...

welt is a tubular construction with clamp arms etc...

look at pictures of both, and you can see...

BUT... they both should do the same job equally

I run welt front and rear and I have been happy with them. Tarett is a nicer

design and cosmeticly more pleasing but like Aaron said they both do the job.

why ya think they call it weltsheister laugh.gif

look at the parts, the Tarett wins... easily
well worth the (relativly small) price difference

just my € 0,02

What about Smart Racing?

Posted by: pete-stevers Oct 21 2006, 05:48 PM

the welty is least expensive
and tarett the next step....
where does smart fit

Posted by: Aaron Cox Oct 21 2006, 07:07 PM

smart is more expensive and a tad nicer than a tarett

My favorite bar is a place called the Fireside in Westchester. They pour them tall there. beer.gif beerchug.gif beer3.gif

BTW: I have a Tarret biggrin.gif

not that there is anything wrong with any...i want to hear preferences.....someone has advised a welty....best bang for the buck.....

If I were building a street car suspension I'd be tempted to go with the 19mm Weltmeiser and 140lb springs in the rear.

If I needed adjustable drop links and a bigger bar I'd step up the Tarret.

TRG also makes a bar....

there used to be "charlie bars".. and a few H and H bars have survived....

Welts are the least inexpensive. Also the cheapest, if you get my drift.
Tarrett are more expensive, higher quality.
Smart Racing is still more expensive, and definitely even higher quality.

Any of them will do the job. I have a Welt, because it was less expensive.

Anyone done the homework?

Best Price.

Best place to purchase.

I'm too lazy to use the search function. yellowsleep[1].gif

av-943.gif If its got beer, chicken wings and titties, I'm there!!

Billet luminium stuff with adjustable links win the dollar/value race for me and I need to sell them front and rear stockers before I remove them and can't close my parts room door anymore.LOL
