Today was the day I had been waiting for ........
Today was the day I would get to preview Neo914-6 before the world debut at SEMA.
I went to meet Feilx in the morning at registration.
We spent the next six hours in line.
(we had a great opportunity to )
I was roaming the stagnant registration line looking for the teener -
I came around a corner and stopped dead in my tracks at this sight -
**(In reverence to Felix and Neo914-6 I will not post any photos until everyting in in place.)**
The Proud Papa -
....... and the highlight of my day.......
I actually got to help do something productive in the preparation of Neo914-6.
Felix mentioned that he had not yet found someone to install the sponsors windshield banner.
I gleefully shouted "I know how to do that!"
So I then set about the task of adding the banner, while the car was on a moving trailer.
There were a few Non-NARPs in line:
Son of a NARP
NOS - POS - Non-NARP
Drive it like you stole it.
Or I could drive this one ......
...... or this one.
CCLINSEMA
Chevy
Caddy
Mopar
The stereo was louder than the paint
I saw lots and lots and lots or really nice wheels -
Then there were some that were really stupid looking -
Wild Ride
I expect there will be more girls inside.

Thanks for the pictures (so far)
I left Felix to complete registration and I was off to work.
Much to my delight Rob and Robin Watson from Florida (watsonrx13) stopped by my bar.
We are meeting Tuesday for lunch at Margaritaville.
Everyone is invited to join us. I will post the time when it is confirmed.
*(don't forget dinner on Thurs at Hooters on West Sahara. 7 o'clock PM)
They gave me this great hat.
There is now a West Coast Chapter of the Tampa Bay 914 Club.
*(thanks to Felix for the pass to the show)

Sorry folks, that's all the pictures for today.
The SEMA show does not officially start until Tuedsay.
Tomorrow I plan to hook up with Ed from Tampa (fat73).
He just rolled into town in his bitchin' ride from a killer road trip.
Hey, John: I always called the Tampa aera the other West Coast.
 Joe
Hi Joe -
Sorry I missed all you guys at the Swap Meet today.
*(I did what I could to make the best of the situation)
I'll see you on the 18th for the T4T run and
cool pics!
can't wait for the final NEO pics
Keep the pictures comming. I think SEMA is the only week I wouldn't mind being in Vegas

The Proud Papa -
Can anyone tell me about the turn signal buckets? Felix?
They are very cool, did you make them, who did? Do you plan to put the lens covers on, or leave them uncovered? I really like them, would like to see them on during the night, any pics?
Its my fault the lenses aren't on there They will be soon though, just not in time for the show. A die was made for injection molding of the lenses. They are crystal clear acrylic, non-fluted lenses made specifically for this application. The first batch of lenses came out poorly, as the die needs a higher level of polish. So right now its being polished and hopefully Felix will have a set of lenses very soon.
This work is being done 6000 miles away, and with it, lots of delays.
-Tony
the car looks amazing...i cant wait to see some detailed overall shots...whats with the spare on the back?
The car is on Muellers trailer.. and the trailer isnt wide enough for anything larger than a 10inch wheel/tire combo.
I have used that trailer a few times.
Scary part.. a replica of my stolen trailer is in a pic above this with a S2000 on it. Same trailer..LOL
B
I absolutely love the HID you guys did. If I didn't have slant nose fenders this is the first thing I would have done to my car.
Can't wait to see more pictures of it.
Robin and I picked up our badges for SEMA today and saw Felix's car, WOW....
We took some pics but I'm not going to post until .....
-- Rob
Stickers and all? if so...confront the "owner"
Lovin what im seein!!!
ok, that truck is fruity.. but im talking about the Neo car.
Felix is doing a GREAT job..
The NEO 914 looks good. I really like the lights. The detail on the gas cap is nice, but I don't care for the gas cap breaking up the smooth lines of the hood. Just my personal preference. I"m guessing it's a tip of the hat to the GT's? To me it looks out of place on a car that's supposed to be a modernized version. It is a nice gas cap though.
Today was another fantastic 914 day.
I got to meet fat73 (Ed from Tampa) and see his incredible car.
We hooked up at Renegade Hybrid's open house.
(Scott says to stop by anytime this week if you are in town for SEMA)
Meeting Ed for the first time was like it has been with so many other non-club members....
It is like being reunited with an old friend. The exchange is comfortable.
The conversation flows and could go on for hours - even without talking about teeners.
I really liked his car.
A nice blue one ready for a Renegade Suby transplant.

Hello all,
found a computer! Thanks for the comments, neo914 is placed in a great location in front outside the registration tent so anyone in LV can come see it w/o a pass.
It's freakin WILD here, anything you can imaging on 4 wheels! I'm getting great comments from ex-914 and 914-6 owners as well as Porschephiles.
I had to unload the car in the dark myself after John left but managed to get some help pushing it into place. I have big time incentive to get the car running since Muellers trailer ramps are killing my back! It fits my 11's with 1/2" to spare on each side but the narrow spare makes it easier.
Hope John and others take lots of pics, I still don't have a digital camera.
Robin and I had lunch with John, Felix and Ed at Margaritaville. It was great meeting Felix, especially after seeing his car at SEMA. It was funny that it took me flying and Ed driving to finally meet in LV. We tried to meet at the last TBB but Ed was busy working on his car to get it ready for the show.
Here's a pic of everyone (Robin was taking the pic). Left front - John, left back - Felix, Right front - myself, right back - Ed....

Thank you so very much for these great photos, and WOW what a great job MSDS did on the 914, especially the interior.
Man I miss being there, my camera crews are there at least in my presence.
If you can keep the photos coming.
Again thanks, gracias.

Wow.. Felix.. you've done an amazing job!!

Thumbs down however on the fake breasted women!

The End: Tune in tomorrow for my final report.
The Hemisfear may become available in the near future, here is a website for more info. Looks kind of like a Boydster or an Alloway 34 ford.

So many of the "show" cars are a testament to how we've lost the war on drugs in this country
PS: What's this? (looks familiar, can't recall)
If you get to the Forgeline wheels booth, find a blonde guy named Dave (owner) and tell him hi from Dayton, Ohio...
So can you bring anything to SEMA?
Including a fur covered Vega?
BTW, I think my car could be a rock climber if I took all the bodywork off.
Dam that is one sexy motor. Here they are a bit heavy and probably way more power then you would ever need.
This is just sick. If that's street legal everyone needs to go back and redesign what a performance car is.
Great pics. Thanks John!
I just about gave myself whiplash when I saw one of those Bugatti driving the other way last weekend. That's one of the perks of living in Napa. You see all these cars going wine-tasting.
Thanks for the comments! Lot's of smiles and compliments from attendees as well. The 914 was and still is well appreciated!
I had a nice chat with Mike Mulligan (Mugs914) and his friends yesterday, a late dinner and drinks with my Art Center friend Norman, and Chris Julian just arrived this morning. Maybe he'll announce his new mid-engine aquisition but a hint is it's starts with "U". The crowds are huge and there's so much more to see. Tonight we meet at Johns Hootersfest.
My SEMA "neighbor" moved my car to get his car on the end for more exposure but my car is still well open to view...
Great pics guys. Love the NEO
Is it me, or is any one else a little scared by all the "plastic" women?
Yeah, gotta say, they all look like a bunch of low rent skanks to me.
Lotsa hot cars, though!
I must be getting old.
Hey that Vega is Shag-a-delic. Yeah Baby. Are there any good looking chics out there besides that one oriental?

The "Wooley Mamoth" is a celebrity car from the Speed Show "Pinks". It was VERY fast, but now I think it's just ugly...
That Furry Vega would be Wooly Mamoth Pretty freaking fast 1/4 mile car. Suddenly got famous on a Pinks episode. car has been around for awhile.
See you in the end...wish I was their.

Just want to compliment you guys for this wonderful post. It has everything automotive & hot women. Can't beat that combo.
Felix's (Neo914-6) is the most beautiful new 914 out there. I can't wait to see more coverage. VegasRacer, thanks for the great pictures. To everyone else involved, thanks for one of the best postings in a long time. I really enjoyed the coverage.
Tom
Cars are cool. Most of those women are gona give me nightmares though.
John I just got back in town from a long week And you made my day. I give you the OK to take the red head home.
Did the Thunder Ranch 904s make it to the show as advertised?
I'm guessing not since no one has posted any pics.....
John Thank you for the great pics. I am looking at the rocket ship in your avatar, me thinks its an Ariel Atom with a body?? Is that correct.

Thanks for all the kind words, you don't know how much that helped get this project to SEMA and make it worth it. I don't think you've heard the last of neo914...

Went back and looked at the shots from the rear. I didnt notice it first time. Nice tribute VERRY NICE car
SEMA was another great show - I have a ton of pix I need to download from my camera and so forth - I will try to post some here in the next couple of days.
Got into town on Wed and met John and checked out Felix's 914, but was a bit sidetracked and couldn't get back to meet everyone else. Long story short, Wed night after the show my friends and I met up at a bar, had some dinner (8 guys and the tab was $1069 - tell me I didn't my pants when I saw that tab) and it was off to Cheetah's. The first day ended at 4AM for me, but at 5AM my buddy called wanting me to send the cops to Cheetah's and I woke up at 9:30 the next morning still very drunk
Thursday was a SLOW day
Just got my pics downloaded but it looks like John has pretty much covered the show. I do have some from the dinner meet Thrusday night and some video of Keith and Felix tearing ass out of the parking lot, what a sweet car! Everyone was really great and it was fun to put faces to names.
Special thanks to John for picking me up at the hotel in Elvira. After bending into a u-shape and falling through the bars in the roll cage we were off for a great cruise to Renegade across town. Elvira is every bit as sweet in person as the photos show online.
Here is John showing us the proper position to get through the cage in Elvira, I think its called "Crouching Lotus in Spring".... anyway the next pic shows why you need to be a flexible person...

Had a good time at the show, though for us it was a bit of a whirlwind tour. Arrive Monday afternoon, all day Tuesday then had to blow town by around 2:00 pm Wednesday.
It was great to meet you Felix. The Neo looks fantastic! Very neat ideas executed very well!
The only bummer was not being able to meet up with you guys over there, but it was a bit of a working trip and there were other commitments that had to take priority.
But I'll see you all in Albuquerque, right?
Felix,
Are you going to add a rear valence or somehting to balence out the rear of the car? It looks great, but it's butt looks out or balence with the rest of your creation.
I can't wait to see it with the lens covers over your headlights. I love that idea, and I want to see them in action.
